Monty Byrom, in my opinion, has been a fly on the wall for most of the best moments in rock history. Not only has he been in his own bands like Billy Satellite and Big House, but he is famous for working with Eddie Money, David Lee Roth, Barbra Streisand, Don Felder, and even more!! He has a new album coming out soon that I am so excited for! It is an honor and a pleasure to have him on the show for this One Year Anniversary Special!!

We are at Season 2's finale!! I can't think of a better way to end it with such an important album in rock history. Not only that, this album is a hot topic right now with Spencer Elden suing the band for allowing the photo of him in the nude on the front cover. Gasp!! Don't worry, he was a baby!! However, Elden thinks that it's child pornography. We'll go into that along with going into the background of the album. Come on down in the basement, and enjoy season 2's  final episode!!

30 years of Metallica's Black Album!! Come stop by the basement as we celebrate! We are going to go in great detail about the album along with its, not one, but multiple subsequent tours!! With the sad news this past week, I had to do a tribute to the late, great Dusty Hill of ZZ Top. This band is so iconic, and I feel like they are one of the only bands who put a focus on their image which made them so cool!! I am still hoping that one day, the band will show up at my work, toss me the ZZ Top Keys, and I will ride off into the night in that classic 1933 Ford Coupe.

It's time to finally get really HEAVY this season with some Rob Zombie!! I freaking love Rob Zombie not only as a musician, but as a human being. Take a listen to his first solo album and fall in love with this old school horror nerd as I have!

Welcome back to the regularly scheduled programming that is the Headbanger Podcast. What better way to start things off this month than with Bon Jovi?? This album is just a classic summer album that pumps me up, and how could it not with songs like "You Give Love a Bad Name" and "Livin On A Prayer!!"

Let's finish off the Pride Month Specials right with some Freddie Mercury and Queen!! I can't believe it has taken me this long to feature the album with "Bohemian Rhapsody" on it!! I mean, the podcast is called The Headbanger Podcast, and how did I overlook the song that basically made headbanging a thing with its feature on Wayne's World??

We keep on rolling through our Pride month tributes, and this one spotlights Faith No More and Roddy Bottum!! As a totally underrated band, Faith No More actually influenced so many alternative metal and rap metal bands of the 90s. Take a listen and dive a little deeper to the band that you may have heard of but never realized how much they totally rock!!

Where has this band been my whole life!? I just found out about Halestorm a few weeks ago, and man do they rock!! We are continuing our tribute for Pride Month as the lead singer, Lzzy Hale is bisexual. She is amazing, and does so much to represent mental health, women, and the LGBTQ community when it comes to heavy metal.

Welcome to season two headbangers! This month, being pride month, we are focusing on members of the LGBTQ community that are also a part of the metal community. We are starting it off with none other than the metal god himself, Rob Halford of Judas Priest! Come on back down to the basement and enjoy our discussion of what it means to be "united" in metal!!

The time has come. Metallica is FINALLY making an appearance on the podcast. Not only that, but they are finishing up this season's album review episodes, and I can't think of a better way to do so than with the Mighty Metallica. Join me as we surrender ourselves to the soul-nurturing music that is made by this beautiful band with the album Ride the Lightning. This will start off our "series" of Metallica episodes that will continue to run through their history and significance as we go through more seasons.

SLAAYYEEEERRRRR!!! Join me in the basement for this super fast, super heavy album by the crazy, insane band, Slayer!! This album, along with four others, basically defines thrash metal. Not only that, join me in the conversation on the inspiration for the lyrical content of the album. I guess Nazis played a role?? Just make sure to listen first before casting judgement.

We are starting off this month with our monthly 80s/glam metal band: Poison! Join me in this hilarious episode where we not only dive into the album, but we spend a lot of time discussing Bret Michaels' career and the many...ahem...questionable...choices that he made.

The bassist from American Hitmen, David Briggs, stops by to give his story as a musician. I'm pretty sure this guy was born with a bass guitar in his hand! He knows the ins and outs of what it takes to pay your dues and make playing music a successful profession. Join in on our conversation, rock out to some tunes from his band, and maybe learn a thing or two about what it means to be a member of a heavy metal band!!

What is the first heavy metal album?? Well, to me, it's the Jimi Hendrix Experience's Are You Experienced?  Most might say something from Black Sabbath or even Alice Cooper, but no. Listen to this episode and let me tell you why it actually is Jimi Hendrix that first introduced heavy metal with his debut album.

Join me this week in the basement as we listen to this unofficial concept album! Not many people consider Guns n' Roses' debut album as a concept album BUT I DO! This album is a work of art and accurately depicts the struggles and lifestyle of the members of the band. There is obviously a storyline that starts on the "Guns" side of the record and into the "Roses" side. Take a listen to the songs that might as well been lightning in a bottle and decide for yourself if it actually is a concept album!!

It's the start of a new month, and why not start it off right with some Iron Maiden?? Look, lot's of cool things are coming this month in regards to the podcast. A new special guest, new albums to look at, and even a magazine!! But, let's not get too off our rockers just yet, and let's enjoy some songs about history, poetry, art, novels,  and films. You'd think I would be describing something avant garde, or high class...nope! It's still the same heavy metal that we love and know!

This whole show is about sitting down, chilling in the basement, and listening to a vinyl record on the turntable while we discuss the history and quality of it. So, it's only appropriate to invite the underground ruler of vinyl records, my good friend Caleb. This guy has hooked me up with probably 85% of all the vinyl records that I own. He does all the dirty work of looking, searching, researching, and selling records. Because of that, he is a genius when it comes to listening to music the old school way! Come join the two of us in the basement, grab yourself a cold one, and sit back and relax while we get into the nitty gritty of record collecting!

In this episode we are getting HEAVY!! Brace those necks headbangers, because we are gonna be participating in some major headbanging in this episode. Pantera is on the agenda!! Also, this is the very first episode where there will be some explicit content...so...I know that makes you want to listen to it even more right?!

This week we are chilling out to some music about the dark lord Satan. JUST KIDDING...not really though. Motley Crue's second album, Shout at the Devil, is what started 80's hair metal in my opinion. Come stop by the basement, bring your aquanet and eyeliner, and let's all throw our bras to Tommy Lee!
