During the recent Olympic Games in Paris, women were competing on the balance beam in gymnastics. Amazingly, that bean, while 16 feet long, is only 4 inches wide! That's how it sometimes feels when it comes to balancing the Christian faith - easy to fall off. Join me in Romans Ch. 7, as Paul talks about balancing our faith.
Remember the old Bob Dylan song, "Gotta serve somebody?" His lyrics included the words, "It may be the devil, or it may be the Lord, but you gotta serve somebody." Well according to Romans Ch. 6, Dylans lyrics are spot on! As the apostle Paul explains, we're either slaves to sin or servants of God. In the 5th chapter of Romans, Paul describes how we're justified by faith, along with all of the blessings that we receive in Christ. In a court of law, lawyers often times raise objections to what an opposing lawyer has said. Sometimes the judge declares, "Sustained", and at other times, the judge will say, "Objection overruled!" In Romans 3, Paul tackles the objections raised by unsaved Jews, and in each case, it's "Objection Overruled!" Let's take a closer look at that together now.
As Christians, we understand that we're all sinners in need of God's forgiveness in Christ. But many unsaved people today don't understand this reality, and so they rely on trying to live a moral and respectable life as the means for getting to heaven. Paul exposes the folly of this faulty thinking, in a much-needed message titled, "The Heart of the Problem."
Though we belong to the God of truth, we live in a world full of lies, thanks in large part to the devil. In the 2nd half of Rom. 1, as we consider important truth, it also exposes three very dangerous lies that are quite popular in the world today. What are they? Let's dig in together and find out!

In Rev. 18, we have some details about the future destruction of world system towards the end of the Tribulation Period. It includes a strong warning to Tribulation saints to get away as God judges that system. But there's also an important and relevant warning to us as believers today, much along the same lines. As believers in Jesus, we are the Bride of Christ. But all other false religion identifies with the harlot, as we read in Rev. 17. Trick questions. Deceitful ploys. Underhanded schemes. Such were the tactics of the unsaved religious leaders, especially when it came to their attacks against Jesus. In the gospels, Jesus asked, "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and yet loses his soul?' In this message from Mark 10, we meet a man that may not have gained the whole world, but he had great wealth, youth, and position as a ruler. He's commonly referred to as "the rich young ruler." In this message, Jesus talks about children, along with having a child-like faith. We'll also tackle some important questions about little children, like what happens to babies that have died? Warren Wiersbe noted, "People will get married for better or for worse, but not for long!" The opinions today about marriage and divorce are all over the map! There's even confusion among believers in the church. However, what Jesus said was pretty straight-forward, and so let's consider His words in this podcast message titled, "I Do, But I Don't", from Mark Ch. 10.
No one in the Bible spoke more about hell than Jesus did, using graphic language to describe it. That's because He loves us, and doesn't want anyone to go there. In the final verses of Mark 9, we'll consider the words of Jesus about sin and hell, in a message titled, "A Very Serious Warning."
Who is the greatest of all-time? That's a popular question when it come to athletes, actors, and singers. But who was the greatest disciple of all-time?
