We end the year not with a recap of what we have done, but with a review of 10th edition 6 months after its release. To do that, we will look at it from the perspectives of Majson - the current World Teams Champion, Joker - a man of skill and ambition who is usually that one win short of taking the trophy home and Tomek who accepts his fate as the midtable terror. This one is exactly about what it says on the packaging - we go through Pumba's subjective choices of armies that are viable in an 8-man team composition. We start with the honorable mentions and go through the list discussing what the armies' role might be and what their more and less favourable match-ups are. We finish with a bit of wishlisting for the new year. Let us know if and how you liked it!

In this new episode we welcome Arne Zerndt and Valentin Schefter from team Germany who both won the Golden Tickets and attended the World Championships of Warhammer placing 7th and 6th respetively. We talk about their journey, their armies and all of their amazing games that lead to that powerful top 10 finish.

This is the second part of a two-part episode where we tap into Innes' expertise to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the army, it's staple units that you can always count on and those that work in specific scenarios. Then we discuss a competitive list built by Innes specifically for this episode and talk about the role of each unit and tackling the top dogs of the current meta.

This unit is/was available to our Patrons on early access. If you like what you hear and want more, do consider signing up to enjoy similar content as well as other perks such as Contact Lost merch and our community discord.

This week #ThoughfulThursday has a special treat - the Army Painter's Adam Abramowicz joins Tomek to talk about his life with ADHD, his late diagnosis and what it means to him. We talk about the challenges of everyday life, how ADHD can be a superpower but also how it affects relationships and family life. This one is just full of facts and stories that will make you chuckle and stories that will make you stop and think. We hope you find it informative.

ThoughtfulThursdays is a series run by Tomek Data of Cotnact Lost with the intention to do away with the taboos around mental health and disorders that are actually quite common in our hobby. Let us know if this is something you enjoy or should we drop the topic and focus on something else. But make sure you listen to it first.

Innes Wilson, otherwise known as Von Ryan's Innes, joins Tomek to discuss and compare the first two fully-fledged faction publications - codex Tyranids and codex Space Marines. Tomek pics Iness' brain to find out and get his quest's rating of which codex is more fun, which is more beginner friendly, which provides more variety (of different kinds) and which is more powerful in the hands of 'an average joe' as well as a seasoned pro. This is a part 1 of a two-part episode leading up to part 2 which is the Tyranid masterclass with Innes available on early access to our Patrons.

What you are about to listen is probably the first ever interview in English with Skark. However, you will not hear Skark speak English – what you will hear is a translation that was done by me based on the original interview which we did in Polish.

In the interview we cover a lot: Skark's broken camper on the way to the WTC, his preparations for the event and his army choice. We discuss what his role on the team was and how he paired. We also discuss his games one by one and finally we answer some viewer questions.

This episode was a challenge on many levels so we hope you find it fun and informative.

At Contact Lost we want to serve as an intermediary between the Polish community and the rest of the world. This time we felt it was extremely important to interview the absolute GOAT of 40k - Skark - however due to the language barrier (his English is fine at the table, but not proficient enough for a fully-fledged 2h-long interview) we recorded this one in Polish and will provide an English voiceover for our listeners abroad. Can recording a podcast episode be a kathartic experience? In the newest installment of The Road to the LGT Tomek interviews the Ying and the Yang of the UK Tournament Circuit, the duo behind 40k Fireside - Vik Vijay and David Gaylard. We hope you noticed that we try to add a theme to each of the "Road to..." episodes based on who we are interviewing. This episode is not different: we found it appropriate to ask the two top players of the UKTC about their ways of dealing with pressure of being there at the top, the pressure of others' expectations but also the pressure one puts on him/herself in the pursuit of excellence. This episode should be a joy to listen for absolutely everyone, not because this is esssentially 40k Fireside with Tomek asking questions, but because Dave and Vik open up so much and provide so much insight into the topic, that at the end they come to the conclusion that it was a proper katharsis for them. Do not miss this one!

Who would have thought that the biggest devotee of the Four-Armed Emperor in Poland would actually be a Brit? But he is our Brit! And you can't have him! Well... actually you can for the next hour and fourty minutes... In this episode Joker and tweak^ interview Danny Porter, a player who has taken the Warsaw tournament scene by storm, who despite having an outdated codex managed to regularly place in the top 10 of the biggest events. And if you've listened to this podcast for a while now you'd know that even though the Polish events gather waaaay fewer than 100 players at a time they are still absolute sharktanks with former and present National Team members, aspirants to the NT and other regulars duking it out proper WTC style, so regular top 10s are an achievement in itself. Danny talks about his power-testing of the new codex in some experimental games and about how quickly a GSC devotee picks up the new rules, stratagems and other bits and bobs the new book has to offer. We go through each section of it and highlight the most outstanding and prominent goodies while tweak is doing his best to find some flaws in it. This episode is the essence of what we want to deliver with this podcast. Two players from the Polish top - Vladdi and Kubcio - who have been selected as selectors for the Polish National Team alongside Tyfus discuss the selection process, what makes a perfect candidate, dealing with the tournament and fan pressure, the differences between singles and team events and much more. This is one of (if not THE) most exciting episodes as it gives you insights into how Polish pro players think and how they want to achieve their goals.

As, I've said it many times and I will say many times more, WE ARE ALL PLAYING THE SAME GAME NOW GLOBALLY, I think it is a nice idea to bring global WH40k communities closer together. That is why this episode focuses on last weekend's Brisbane GT and I will have Edward from Adaptive Subroutines Gaming (a fairly fresh site about everything 40k at a really high standard - including a write-up about the said tournament) and Dineeth - host of The Normal Blokes 40k Podcast (an awesome Aussie podcast about everything WH40k Down Under) as our guests to data crunch, discuss the lists and talk about the Australian scene in general. Hope this gives you inspiration for your own list building.
