We hear about Voter suppression in Georgia, Texas and many other states but we rarely hear about them in Local unions. Make no mistake, it's happening. In today's episode we have Evangeline Bryars who is running for TWU Local 100 President. We discussed tactics that are being used by local 100 and TWU International leadership to remove her from the ballot in the upcoming election. By all means necessary democracy must be guarded and that is why Evangeline challenged the union and now in court to overturn their decision.

In today's episode, I introduced my guest David Ruiz. David is a local 234 member from the maintenance Department who is very passionate about his work and committed to ensuring our employer treats us fairly with dignity and respect. . We talked about the disconnect between maintenance and transportation and ways we could close the gap. In order for us to have a strong union, we need to know the issues that affect members in other departments. I hope this episode brings us one step closer to our goal.
