Today I have the honor of interviewing one of my really good friends. We got to know each other through music over ten years ago. And now he’s a successful business owner, running a beautiful barbershop in the suburbs of Chicago. From the first day he picked up the clippers, it was obvious that he had the gift. Welcome to the Service Based Masters Podcast. Where we highlight service owners and businesses who are masters in their industries. I’m your host Wes Pendleton. In the spring of 2021 I launched my first service-based business, doing lawn care, part-time in the suburbs right outside of Philadelphia. Over the course of the spring and summer months I was able to push monthly revenue well past what I hoped for in the beginning. This was mainly due in part to learning from other service-based professionals via podcasts, seminars and social media. I also brought 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur on the product side of things.
My last venture was a digital product business and brand that I built with 2 partners over a 4 year period. We were fortunate to exit that business in the early part of 2020. Merging those two worlds together provided a unique perspective into how and why pros in these industries grow businesses. On this podcast we’ll highlight these specialists, and shed light on their unique stories.
