Dava is my cousin, and she has been through a LOT! She was with her husband of 37 years as he suffered through a terminal illness the last five and a half years of his life. After he died, she sold their home and built a brand new house only to have it demolished by a tornado. Throughout her life, she witnessed my mother, her mother, and our aunt (three sisters) each go through breast cancer. Then, she was forced to enter her own battle when she too was diagnosed with breast cancer. Wow! You'd think she would just want to give up, but she says that was not an option.
