Hi! I’m Catherine Britton. I’m a working mom turned stay-at-home-mom who hit my breaking point chasing the elusive “work-life balance”. Join me for weekly conversations on motherhood, and how I’m cultivating the #momlife that’s best for me and my family. No mom guilt trips. No lists of how-tos or should-dos. Just real life motherhood.
Cameron Maddox, creator of Little Miss Lotus, joins me to discuss all things mental health and self care. Little Miss Lotus is a new apparel line created to bring light to the importance of mental health and encourage positivity. Today, Cam and I talk about her own mental health journey, the process of creating and launching Little Miss Lotus and so much more!

This week I'm flying solo, but stay tuned for a [new] special guest next week! (Also, sorry this episode is a day late... it's been quite the week.) Today I'm talking a bit about the Mama Made a Podcast "studio" relocation and what we've been up to around here the last few days -- our sad hunt for a dining room table and a few home projects. Then I'm sharing my experience going back to work after maternity leave -- what helped me most and one piece of advice I wish I would have followed myself. If you're currently expecting or home on maternity leave -- or if you've just returned to work from maternity leave -- I hope you'll find something helpful in this episode!

I hope you all had an amazing Thanksgiving! I know I’m late to the party, but I’m sharing some quick thoughts on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip before I dive into my car seat struggles and a question about my biggest ah-ha moment. Then I have my husband, James, back for part 2 where he is brutally honest about what it was like for him to watch me struggle and how it impacted our family, but also how much our marriage and life in general has improved since I quit my job. Later, I let James in on the reason why I insist on cutting the grass myself, which leads us into a discussion on why (or if?) husbands intentionally do chores badly so we never ask again.

I have a very special guest this week, my husband and biggest cheerleader, James! This is a good one to have your spouse or partner listen to if you're expecting your first child! We think it will put their mind at ease if they're nervous about new parenthood. We talk about our labor and delivery experience (I guess we can call it a birth story?), TikTok algorithms, and the things that keep me up at night like the thought of ax murderers breaking in to slaughter my whole family. Oh and we also have a great parent pro tip to avoid a toddler swan dive from the high chair.
We hope you enjoy this week's episode! Tune in for part 2 with James next week for his take on all the big life changes we've been going through lately.

Welcome back to Episode 2! I'm taking a few minutes to dive a little deeper into my "why" for this podcast. Then, I'm opening up about what I've been struggling with lately in my day-to-day as a mother. My toddler is triggering me often, and I'm trying to let go of my obsession with being a perfect example for my daughter.
