Jesus calls us to prioritize Him and His Kingdom above everything else. However, this can be really hard and scary for most of us. In Luke 12:22-34 Jesus gives us 3 Commands, 3 Considerations, and 3 Conclusions to help us deal with our fear of truly following Him.
Having a healthy Christian community can be REALLY hard. Here's 5 ways we bring death to our Christian Communities and 5 ways we can bring life into those communities.
PT Barnum is driven by a "hole" in his life to pursue more and more applause; it's insatiable and it almost destroys his whole life. We, too, have holes in our lives that drive us to pursue more and more of something... but it is "never enough". Josh talks about how we can fill that hole and stop expending ourselves for things that will never be enough.
"This is Me" is a song about not allowing the negative things people say and believe about us to define us. We all have a tape playing in our head of an identity that has been formed by lies and negativity. Jesus invites us into a life with him where only what He says about us really matters. When we find our identity in Christ, we really find "This is Me".
"Come Alive" is a song about leaving old, dead parts of you behind and coming alive into who you were meant to be. Jesus' death and resurrection on our behalf allows us to die to the destructive parts of who we were, and Jesus' Spirit brings life and allows us to become who He meant us to be.
