Bullet Talk Radio is a show put together by Krystal O'Connor - an avid concealed carry Mom and techno-nerd - in an effort to bring more light to the world of firearms, guns, hunting, and the shooting sports all from a woman's perspective. Topics will focus on pistol carry but don't be surprised if we wander off into legislation, hunting trips, and other gun related topics. Bullet Talk Radio is a partner with NRA Women.
Opening
In this weeks episode, we talk about Columbine shooting survivor Representative Patrick Neville (Colorado) and his wish to allow teachers the ability to concealed carry on school campus, then we jump over to West Virginia to talk about their Constitutional carry legislation headed over to the Governor’s desk. Krystal also has the opportunity to respond to a listener’s direct question about legislation in Pennsylvania, we chat a bit about Apple and the FBI, and Krystal defines what a gunsplainer is.

While at the Great American Outdoor Show, I sat down with Steve and Kevin from the United States Concealed Carry Association. We certainly had plenty to talk about!
Training Opportunities
The USCCA has quite the program available for firearms instructors to walk through to certify them to teach the USCCA curriculum. The program really focuses on the use of a firearm for self protection, as well as those things a person needs to consider with regards to what would happen before an unfortunate event, as well as after. This includes everything from what happens to the mind when you are in the middle of an event to placing that 911 call (and what to say, or not say for that matter), and more. Of course, they also teach the fundamentals of shooting and carry.
The Concealed Carry Expo
The USCCA is planning a Concealed Carry Expo occurring in Atlanta, Georgia from April 29th through May 1st. We spend some time talking about what to expect at the expo, but if you can get down there I recommend doing so. They will have training, life fire ranges, and seminars from experts that will help you take your knowledge to the next level. There will be a Concealed Carry Fashion Show at the expo as well, showing off the latest in concealed carry gear.
Krystal has the honor of sitting down with professional huntress, Melissa Bachman. Be sure to catch her show, Winchester Deadly Passion, on the Sportsman Channel airing on Sundays at 11:30am Eastern.

As usual, there is plenty of news to cover this week, so I picked some of the more interesting headlines. However, to piggy back on episode 32, I wanted to continue the conversation on mentorship and firearm training. Pennsylvania does not have a training requirement to obtain a license to carry, though many states do have a training requirement. Here's a hint... the training you are required to take for your carry permit or license is not the end of the line for your training. As a responsible firearm owner, and for many of you, concealed carriers, it is important to continue your practice and training from professional instructors. Where should you get started? In our explore section this week, I'll dig into some of the basic classes you can start with, and some additional classes you can take to begin to up your game.
