The prayers and scriptures below can serve as a source of comfort, strength, and hope as you navigate the challenges of parenting a wayward child.
Prayer for Protection and Guidance - Father, I lift up my child to You today. I ask for Your divine protection over them as they navigate life. Guide them back to the path of righteousness and fill their heart with Your love and wisdom. Surround them with positive influences and remove any negative forces that may lead them astray. I trust in Your unfailing love and grace to bring my child back to You. Amen.
"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6
Prayer for Strength and Patience - Lord, grant me the strength and patience to love my child unconditionally. Help me to remain calm and hopeful, even in the face of rebellion and heartache. Let my words and actions reflect Your love and mercy, and give me the wisdom to guide my child with kindness and firmness. I believe in Your power to transform hearts and minds. Amen.

Prayer for Repentance and Return - Dear God, I pray for my child’s heart to be softened and their eyes to be opened to the truth of Your Word. May they come to a place of repentance and turn back to You. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them, convicting them of their ways and leading them towards repentance and renewal. I trust in Your promises and Your power to restore. Amen.
"I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart." Jeremiah 24:7
Prayer for Faith and Hope - Father, I place my trust in You, knowing that You have plans to prosper my child and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future. Strengthen my faith as I wait on Your timing and Your ways. Help me to remain hopeful, always believing in Your power to work miracles in my child’s life. Amen.

Prayer for Healing and Restoration - Loving God, I ask for healing and restoration in my relationship with my child. Mend the brokenness and bring peace to our home. Let Your love be the foundation upon which we rebuild trust and connection. Heal the wounds of the past and create a new future filled with Your grace and love. Amen.

One of the most important doctrines of the Christian faith is that of the Trinity. The subject of the Trinity is holy ground because it pertains to the nature of the one true God. So we approach the subject with all humility and reverence. But, if you feel a little baffled by the Trinity, join the crowd. History's greatest minds have stood in amazement before a God so great that our explanations cannot contain Him. However, God desires for us to know Him and He has chosen to reveal Himself, His nature, to us through the Trinity.

IDEAS TO SERVE & BLESS###### Prayer Walk - Gather your family or community group to prayer walk your street, neighborhood or school. Pray for some of the following:
- Ask the Lord to bless your neighbors (by name if you know them).
- Ask for salvation for those in this neighborhood/school.
- For protection from sickness, fear and harm.
Serve Your Neighbors - Bless your city by serving it. Scripture says that everyone has unique gifts, talents and passions. Any of these can be avenues to help people. All of these ways to serve are valuable to extending the Kingdom of God. These are just a few ideas to serve your neighbors.
- Invite a family or a friend to your home for dinner.
- Bless a "first responder" with a thank you basket.
- Make cookies and deliver them to neighbors or co-workers.
- Pay for the car behind you in the drive-thru.
- Sign up for a Nextdoor acccount and download the app to learn more about people in your neighborhood, then offer to run errands for the elderly.
- Take out a neighbor's trash.
- Plan or participate in a neighborhood clean-up.
- Gift a store gift card to a neighbor.
- Shop for a senior/elderly.
- Send a pizza to a single parent and their kids.
- Invite a college student over for game night or dinner with your family.
- Purchase groceries for someone.
- Help a family you know with their laundry.
- Offer to help clean out someone's car.
- Mail a hand written card to someone who has lost a loved one

This conversation was actually recorded in the middle of Super Kids Summer Camp, which Alive Church hosts for 400 kids and teens each year! Which means, this camp has become the largest summer camp in all of Ireland! It’s incredible to hear how God is using their small town to do BIG things in the world!

We also look at the attributes of God in scripture that describe the tender and nurturing aspect of His being. Women are specifically crafted to call forth life in all people, to look for, identify, and call out the gold in others. No matter if you are a biological mother or not, and whether you are a male or not, this episode is packed with truth and life we all need to hear, receive, and walk out.

In this episode, we conclude our conversation with Eddy Smith about the process of discovering our purpose, but also living out that purpose every day. Hard Questions: Week 7 | Can God Be Love and Send People to Hell?
God is both love and justice (Luke 16:19-31). There are countless truths in Scripture that are overwhelmingly good and encouraging to our hearts and minds. But there are also other true, good, and necessary Scriptures that feel more serious than inspiring, more sobering than encouraging. One of these sobering truths – that Jesus specifically teaches – is the existence of hell and eternal separation from God. While justice for serious atrocities seems right and proper, hell seems extreme for decent people who never embrace Jesus. According to the Bible, we are all sinful, separated from God, and destined to face the wrath and justice of God (Romans 3:23; 6:23). Only through Jesus and what He accomplished on the cross can anyone escape the wrath of God.

Hard Questions: Week 6 | Hasn't Science Disproved Christianity?
We must listen to the voice of God in creation and in scripture (Ps 19:1-11). There is an assumption that if you embrace modern science, you must reject your Christian faith. But when we dive into scripture, we see that both science and faith intersect and support each other. God makes Himself known both through creation (general revelation) and His word (specific revelation). When we listen to the voice of God in creation and in scripture, we experience the grandeur of God as the creator of the universe with all its brilliance and complexities as well as His nearness as a God who is deeply personal and loving.

Hard Questions: Week 5 | Can We Trust the Church?
When the global church has forgotten that gospel of Jesus, injustice has abounded (Luke 10:25-37). History shows us that the Christian church has been responsible for atrocities and abuses, which has caused many to question whether the church today can be trusted. Those injustices are the result of Christians losing sight of what it means to love God and to love our neighbor, of losing their grasp of the gospel and all that Jesus did for us through His death and resurrection. When we love our neighbor as Jesus taught in His parable of the Good Samaritan, we see the needs of those right in front of us and try to meet their needs. Loving our neighbor means fighting injustice for the one in front of us, being bold enough to take a stand.

Hard Questions: Week 4 | Can We Trust the Bible?
The Bible can be trusted because it was written by eyewitnesses and many of its prophecies have proven true (2 Peter 1:16-21). Many today are asking the question: can we really trust the Bible? For many followers of Jesus, they have a basic confidence in the Bible because they were either taught that the Bible is God’s Word, feel good about it, have faith in the Bible is God’s Word, or have been changed by it. Unfortunately, these reasons alone do not make the Bible true. Instead, the eyewitness accounts of the New Testament (many of whom died for what they saw) as well as the fulfillment of prophecy throughout Scripture validate God’s authorship and confirm for us that the Bible is true.

Hard Questions: Week 3 | Isn't Christianity Too Strict?
Freedom in Christ is the power to live as God designed (Galatians 5:1). One of the foundational issues or objections people have with the Christian faith is that it is too restrictive and limits their freedom. For many, the idea of freedom means that we should have the ability to define it for ourselves and set our own boundaries. But in truth, the limits and restrictions God calls us to actually lead us to far greater measures of freedom, blessing, and joy. He prohibits and commands things for our good, out of His deep love for us. As we live as God designed, we progressively crucify the desires of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit become increasingly evident in our lives.

Hard Questions: Week 2 | Why Do People Suffer?
God’s love is greater than this fallen world (Romans 8:28). From the beginning of creation, God has demonstrated His love to us by giving us choice. For love to exist, choice is necessary. And because choice exists – the choice to embrace or reject Him – suffering, pain, and injustice exist as well. Sin has marred all of creation, brought physical and spiritual death, and produced every kind of relational strife and hardship. God’s promise to us is not that He will remove all suffering and pain from our lives. His promise to His followers is that He will be present with us, pouring out Jesus’ victorious love and peace in the midst of our difficulties (John 16:33). Jesus came for us as the answer to a fallen world and desires to be in us, working and moving through us to represent His heart to those experiencing difficulty (Philippians 3:10).

Hard Questions: Week 1 | Is Jesus really the only way to God (Mark 4:14-20)?
Recent studies reveal that up to 70% of those who claim to be Christians don’t believe Jesus is the only way to God. But Jesus makes it clear, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14:6).” That truth is reiterated by Peter (and the early church) when he emphasizes that there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. This truth raises questions and doubts for many, and it is often challenged and rejected. Thankfully, there are answers to these questions and doubts, and all are invited to choose Jesus and experience the life and joy of following Him.

Today, we sit down with Jake & Erin Mills to discuss their recent journey of adopting three children into their family. As they discuss this story and calling, Jake and Erin share their conviction of the verse James 1:27. Every believer has a responsibility and an opportunity to be part of the lives of the orphan. For many it is to take them into your home either through foster care or adoption, but for others, it means being part of the lives of the families or individuals who have taken the orphan into their home. At the end of the day, we cannot overlook the fact that adoption is rooted in the Gospel. There is a biblical call and mandate for all believers to make a difference in the lives of the orphan.

Her journey as a therapist took a dramatic shift after her late husband took his life after battling mental illness and addition. Krissie takes us through the season of her husband’s death and brings us to her mission today: to educate and bring awareness of mental health to those who may not understand it, who feel lost living with it, who hide in it, and who choose silence because of it.
