Influence is a word that has been bandied about quite a bit over the last few years, but what is it, exactly? In this episode, I explore artistic influence, what it means to me, and a few personal examples.
What was hipsterism exactly? And what did it have to do with a magazine devoted to a minimalist aesthetic? This episode will take a look at some of the cultural phenomena that brought this publication into being.
In this episode I look at the roots of a genre I didn't really get into as a kid: early 2000s pop rock a.k.a. the Nickelback sound. Was it actually that bad? Along the way, I'll look into elements of similar genres like I did in the previous episode, so it feels fitting to call this part 2.
