Franklin Tomorrow is known for its monthly FrankTalks and quarterly Breakfast With The Mayors, but for 2021, we wanted to reach a different audience and find a place to have conversations with people who make Franklin Franklin. We are launching on February 11, 2021 “Franklin Tomorrow Presents: Front Porch Conversations” with Host Franklin Tomorrow Executive Director Mindy Tate. With this podcast, Franklinites will join Mindy to have candid conversations that will give an insight into the ins and outs of Franklin.
J. Roderick Heller III, longtime developer and investor who has been instrumental in helping to preserve many of Franklin’s historic landmarks, is chairman and CEO of Harpeth Associates. He and his wife Kay are involved in numerous philanthropic and civic endeavors.
On this episode of Front Porch Conversations we are joined by fellow Franklin Resident Brandy Blanton as she describes her roles as a City of Franklin Alderman, Development Director at High Hopes, and most importantly being a mother and a grandmother. Brandy will also give updates on a few important projects happening in Franklin, such as Ellie G's Inclusive Playground and the Coach Jimmy Gentry Statue.
Episode 6 of Front Porch Conversations we sit down with Dr. Ken Moore, Mayor of Franklin. He is the 31st Mayor and second physician to head the City of Franklin. Ken practiced orthopedic surgery for more than twenty-eight years and gained recognition on a state and national level as a leader.
