Pam's  life has included everything from limos to homelessness, from Stand Up Comedy (opening for Jay Leno to celebrating with Bob Odenkirk for his writing with SNL) to owning a moving company and from skydiving to paralysis. Pam has survived it all and found inner strength to not only walk again, but thrive on the new experiences. As a sophomore in high school her mom began to lose her sight and this woman who gave her strength thru her instillment of Faith, who taught her to see the positive in everything with the infamous life lesson, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”, and “Think before your speak – words are power”.  She learned to use her words to describe things in a way that created a mental image for her. She joined Quill and Scroll, a creative writing group recommended by one of the most passionate and inspirational teachers, Mrs. Eldridge.  One of her favorite experiences came from participating in Speech and Debate where she obtained a Double Ruby Award.  She was a successful Stand up Comedian with an Improv group called AH-HA out of Valparaiso, IN at the age of 17, she performed at Second City for 2 years on the ETC stage. You can also find her as an extra in many movies, but the best shot is in Rookie of the Year, when the manager is forced to sell hot dogs ; she takes her baseball cap off and gave it to another fan.  She then moved into banking and was part of an automation task force with Citibank troubleshooting the touch screen ATM’s, and teller training of branches throughout Chicago.  For a change of venue, she went into imports and exports as an international freight forwarder and customs broker.  During that time shehad two centrally herniated discs that were bulging against her spinal cord and sneezed. When they ruptured the pressure and force twisted her spinal column and tore her spinal cord leaving her paralyzed from the rib cage down.  After surgery , she started a moving company as a form of physical therapy that was successful for 10 years. She became a Travel Writer. Inspiring participation in the healthy and social community activity of beach volleyball, and encouraging others to get away from their screens and see the world live and in person.  She looks forward to sharing my experiences, but more importantly, to hear feedback from others inspired to visit these places.  You can follow her on her blog "https://www.volleyballandsunsets.com (volleyballandsunsets.com)" and also on https://www.facebook.com/pam.brant.6886 (facebook)
