From static to solidarity: an ambient odyssey of love forging a new world.A five-part speculative ambient journey where love shapes order from noise, guiding listeners through emergence, purpose, and collective transformation.
Shaped noise for studying, meditating, or chilling. This is a condensed version of the entire album, it combines the first 10 seconds of each track for a runtime of 2 minutes.
Calming and thrilling music that can sit back while you concentrate on other tasks, or come to the forefront when you need to take your mind off things.

For Anna (previously titled Murder She Called It) is an immersive sound sculpture, born from a deeply personal journey through therapy. Inspired by a breakthrough session with my therapist, Anna, this piece explores what it means to confront oneself in the void, where guilt and forgiveness battle in silence. This soundscape captures the raw tension of self-reconciliation. Ethereal vocals, haunting drones, and fragmented textures echo the themes of violence, vulnerability, and the cold, honest work of inner survival. As each layer unfolds, it draws the listener closer to that critical moment of confrontation—the meeting with the self, in all its complexity.Dedicated to Anna, who guided me to face these emotions head-on, For Anna is an exploration of what it means to survive one’s inner turmoil and begin the process of self-forgiveness.Thank you for listening, and I invite you to reflect on your own journey within.Landing page: https://fmonk.quasigentsia.com/archives/15675

I don’t know if the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, but here we are. It’s parts being two weeks of exploration and hard work, of chasing tangents and getting lost in your lips. Some days I ruminate on it all ending. Like, just can't it be over yet? Other days I'm happy to be alive. Currently I'm worried about a friend, and I don't know if I'll be able to function until I know if they're OK. Please be OK.

The soundtrack of a sinister world. One reviewer described it as “That’s some videodrome wet carnal nightmare. If I had more than a 3 hour old buzz, I don’t think I coulda handled it. “A Throne!” by Franklyn Monk
“You, you,” he points at you, “You can’t be in my audience,” And collapses.
There are no stagehands here To shuffle away his bones, “It’s a one man show!”
He now understands his mistake, But he’s proud of shrinking The universe down to a man. Who does that? “The Artist!” he’ll inevitably cry And laugh because it’s ludicrous.
“I took tickets too.” And he cleaned the aisles And he built you a throne With cheesecloth and cardboard, “And my soul!” Yes, yes, of course.
And there now you are In the throne he constructed And he’s not ready to be seen or heard “Or exist!” No, no, of course.

A recording of an early spring storm.
What I like most about this one is the white noise at the end is so loud and so oppressive that when it finally slams to an end I’m catapulted into heady relief. I’m left weightless, numb, and free for the first time.
Franklyn Monk Dronecast #17
An ambient soundtrack with looping vocals which, perhaps, demonstrates what it’s like to be swept into rumination. At 16m40s it’s a good length for a short meditative sit.
