Overview: Singapore is the food, shopping and spa matrix of Asia. This refined city-state offers tourists their own little slice of Crazy Rich Asians. It is a melting pot of the best that the region has to offer. It’s incredibly safe and friendly with easy public transportation, making it a great destination for beginner and seasoned travelers alike.
Inspiration: Having long heard stories from native friends about the hawker stalls in Singapore, I was dying to try this foodie hotspot. I was also on assignment photographing spas for my book Asian Design.
Highlights:

Ideal for: Business travelers; foodies; city dwellers; spa vacationers.
Getting There & Away: Direct flights daily from several major U.S. cities to Singapore.
Recommended Length of Stay: A minimum of 3 days.
Best Time of Year to Visit: Year-round. Peak season is December through June.
Good To Know: The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is well connected, so hop on and enjoy.
Budgeting Tips: July and August are slower times for business travel, therefore it’s likelier to find deals on airfare and accommodations.
Packing Considerations: Singapore has generally warm and humid weather year-round. Attire is slightly dressier and you’ll want a change of clothes from day to night.
JILL'S TRAVEL TIP OF THE DAY: Invest in designer sneakers or alternative comfort footwear that can get you through the day smoothly while looking good.
