In our text, the finding process leads Philip to make another critical confession, -the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote,- seems to catch the point of the text pretty well. This means that God's Word bears witness to Jesus Christ. As we reflect on Philip's response, we need to remember that outreach is not usually advanced much by defending our faith because our theological arguments generally convince those who are already convinced or are at the point of seeking to be persuaded. We should always approach evangelism with a genuine, concern, loving proclamation and invitation to experience Christ. Because only through Christ can the lost be found and be born again.
