We present eight short documentaries on local non-profits and social issues. These pieces were created by students from our Radio U course, which is offered every spring and fall in partnership with XRAY.FM. The course presents the journalism and technical skills necessary to make audio documentaries. Our most recent group produced a diverse array of stories—we’ll hear about grief counseling, forest protectors, bicycle seats, and the question of secession.
We’ll also play a short piece by Atlas Finch, one of our 2017 Summer Documentary Program students, on his experience at “summer camp” in Gearhart last week.
