Luke 4:14-21

The mission of Jesus was clear: the poor, freedom, sight, liberation of the oppressed, proclamation. This was the very first text ever preached at Redland Hills on this day, ten years ago. As we think about the beginning of the second decade of this church, what is your purpose that God is calling you to? What purpose does God want to fulfill through the life and ministry of this church in the coming years? Pray over yourself and this church to be focused on carrying out the mission and ministry of God. Ask Him to keep us in alignment with His will. Pray for clarity in our purpose, just as Jesus did in the garden.
