Morning all, have the laptop up and running this morning. First time since I was given news about Dad’s decline. I’d put it in a sleeve, and shut it up in a filing cabinet. I’ve been posting from my phone, and just trying to maintain brain function.

Today, I’m working on getting the body to understand that a shingles shot is nothing compared to the pain of having shingles. Believe me, this discomfort is nothing compared to the fresh hell of having shingles. I’ll gladly sign up for every shot I can to not get the full-fledged version of that bullcrap again. I was 13 when I got chicken pox. That sleeper virus is evil enough. A few years ago, shingles took hold, and while I was young for getting shingles, never again.

Please.

Yesterday Duke decided to test my mettle again. He slipped his collar, again, and decided to go hoofing it. Thankfully, he has been trained to come with the car horn. I need to get him a 2nd collar, he doesn’t slip 2 usually. I’d sat at the desk for a few to let him have some privacy to tinkle. He tinkled all right. Thank Goodness I noticed the slack in his lead.

In other news, I have another cabinet coming today. This one locks, I believe, so I can keep idiots out of my journal supplies. I really want to keep my husband out of my journal situation. It doesn’t matter that what I write in there is for the brain only, to maintain my mental health. I need him to keep his paws off of the thing.

Speaking of journal supplies. When I went to get my shingles shot at the pharmacy, I also grabbed a couple of acquisitions. I needed some more book marks. I also needed some tabs. The faux leather things that are sold in the beading section of Walmart work well enough for this. The tabs came from office supplies, of course.

I’ll work on that in a bit. I have some jewelry I want to convert to book marks, things my Mother left me. I am thinking that it makes the most sense. I also have some pieces that I can use that I found while thrifting. So, that’s the plan.

That’s about it for today. Take care my friends. Gentle hugs. -L
