9:20-32

  • Worship, as a verb, is the act of supremely prioritizing something or someone that I love the most and gives my life its greatest meaning and security
    • I need to keep an eye on the good things in my life that they don’t become “god” things.
  • Weak worship comes from:
    • Poor connection with God
    • Weak view of God
  • Worship takes both: (9:28; John 4:23-24)
    • My head (Romans 12:1-2)
      • My beliefs should lead my emotions in worship
    • My heart (Psalm 86:12; 100:1-5)
      • My emotions in worship strengthen my relationship with God
    • This Week’s Activate Faith
      • Worship with my head by remembering God giving me rest from my enemies
      • Worship with my heart by singing to God of His goodness and greatness
