Disciples are devoted imitators of Jesus

Christ frees us for right devotion

Jesus has complete control:

-social barriers

-human destruction

-death

-evil

Christ frees us for right devotion

1) Devotion is a response: We're the product of grace

2) Devotion desires Jesus Himself: We beg for Christ, not through Him

3) Devotion desires Jesus without qualification: We follow no matter where he leads

4) Devotion obeys when you don't get your own way: We are Christ's followers, not directors
