My weight loss journey was never really about my weight at all. Little did I know at the start of the journey... 🤯
I was reflecting on the journey recently and what I've learned in the 3 years since I started this, and set myself the task of writing out 20 things I learned. I actually got to about 30 then had to trim down the list!
I'm sharing this in the hope that it may resonate with you if you're in a place where you feel you can't control your eating and you're feeling down about your body, your weight and your overeating. I hope this helps you to see that there is another way other than a strict diet. A way where you can find peace with food and learn to love and accept yourself just the way you are (and in a different sized body eventually - if you choose that goal too!).
The core theme that you'll hear in this episode is that I now feel my feelings and I've worked through reprogramming the patterns I had of overeating my feelings. As a result of not eating my feelings, I found that I can actually trust myself around chocolate and bread without losing control. And if I do overeat, I now get curious about what happened, learn the lesson and move on. No more judgement and beating myself up anymore.
