According to WWJ's Jonathan Carlson, lawyers for the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy have filed suit against former CFO William Smith along with his wife, mother, sister and a friend. Smith faces decades in prison if convicted in the theft.

44-year old Michael Lopez, the man accused of murdering 23-year old Melvindale Officer Mohammed Said on Sunday could be charged as early as today. Lopez is currently being housed in the Detroit Detention Center.
