The now former head of the Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, tendered her resignation today following a failed attempt on the life of former President Donald Trump at a Pennsylvania rally earlier this month. Cheatle spent time in the Secret Service's Detroit Field Office int he 1990s.

WWJ's Tracey McCaskill says driving on deteriorating and congested roads is costing Michiganders $17 billion annually, that according to a new AAA survey. The average resident of the Detroit area loses about $3,000 a year on the roads.
