In May 2011, Buster Posey suffered a season-ending injury due to a collision at home plate from Scott Cousins of the Marlins. Cousins was trying to knock the ball loose and score on a sac fly. He succeeded. Posey suffered a fracture and tore ligaments, but was fortunately able to bounce back in a big way the following year - he won the MVP and batting title while leading the Giants to their second World Series victory in three years. Buster Posey's injury prompted MLB to implement a new rule sliding into home plate. All this on today's episode.
