New Age Influencers: Recent Episodes

Aaron Patton

The term "influencers" is sometimes viewed in a negative light. One of the main goals with this podcast is to change the narrative, and to help the masses understand why putting in legitimate effort to cut out your own little corner on the internet is a VERY good thing to do in our new age world, not only for your wallet, but for your own peace of mind, happiness, and future...

Every week you'll get access to BEHIND THE SCREEN conversations with social media influencers, celebrities, content creators, community builders, and entrepreneurs. We'll dive into personal origin stories from the guests while extracting the most valuable pieces of advice they've learned along their journey.

Have you ever wondered how people got started doing what they're doing? Or how exactly they make money? Or how much work they had to put in behind the scenes before gaining true momentum? These are the types of questions we answer on this podcast.

This show is for New Agers.

Definition of a New Ager: Someone who wants to maximize life by having as much fun as possible while working towards bigger goals. Someone who wants to take full advantage of the amazing digital opportunity age we are currently living in, and who understands (or wants to understand) that the best path for creating abundance in life when it comes to money, time, freedom, and happiness can be found on the internet. It doesn't matter if your online efforts are related to a current career, interest, business, product, hobby or passion...because in the end...the internet is scalable, your time is NOT.

P.s. this is a happy hour style podcast, meaning each weekly interview will have a slightly different vibe based on the guest and their content...but will always be raw, entertaining, and informative. Solo episodes are released on Thursdays to reiterate important lessons learned from the guests.

Having interest in a sport, hobby, career path, idea, product, etc. doesn't mean you have to become a "top tier player/professional/producer" in order to enjoy it...or to have success with it for that matter. In this episode we speak to Pavel Barber, stick handling hockey specialist and coach. Pavel has dedicated his life to the great sport of hockey, and has done it without playing in the NHL. He's happy and fulfilled every week by being fully active in the sport he loves...and not by just playing...but by teaching and growing the game for others. This is a prime example of how someone can have ultimate success being involved in the category of a thing they most enjoy. There isn't just one way to do things, and there certainly isn't one path. Personal finance is one of the most important real world subjects to understand as a human being, yet for some reason it's consistently neglected by the current school systems. This is one of the many reasons why expensive formal education isn't as relevant anymore, and why self-education is taking over...

In this episode we speak with Taylor Price, a female member of Gen Z who is changing the game of personal finance. Through her content, she educates and entertains when it comes to learning about credit cards, bank accounts, IRA's, debt, etc. She is filling a gap in the marketplace, and having massive success while doing it. This is a prime example of why the New Age World is taking over. As a 15 year old girl, who would you rather learn personal finance from? Someone you can relate to (who also knows what they're talking about), or someone 50 years older who has been teaching the same things in the same way, without ever adapting to the times? The answer is pretty obvious, and while we all are different ages and in different situations, the point is we prefer to learn from people we can relate to. This is where the world is going, and individuals like Taylor are leading the way. Tune in to hear how she's done it, and how you can too.

Regret is the ultimate soul sucker. No one wants to feel like they "missed out" on something great. So how do you avoid regret? Answer: You take the leap. You take the risk. You do it scared. Because in the end, it doesn't matter if you fail...all that matters is your willingness to try. Then whatever happens happens, and you won't have to live life looking back wondering "what if"

In this episode we speak to Rob Rast, founder of FLX bikes and serial risk taker. Rob describes his journey in detail of how he went from college dropout to successful business owner. He describes his first couple business ventures, why they didn't work, and his eventual path to doing something that truly lights him up. Drinking and having fun with your inner circle of friends and family is a feeling unlike any other. We've all done it (some more than others haha) and we all understand the happiness it brings. There's nothing quite like having a good time with the people you trust and care about the most...no matter how ridiculous some of them might be.

In this episode we are introduced to a set of brothers who took those happy feelings and displayed them on an Instagram page through a barrage of live action memes. They called the account Friday Beers, specifically focusing on beer drinkers and the types of friends/feelings one might have when the party is just getting started towards the end of the week. Typically people pay attention to online content because they either want to be entertained, educated, inspired, or can relate in some shape or form. And sometimes the content is a mix of all of them. Regardless, to capture attention online, it's important to understand WHY people will be attracted to your stuff.

We all start somewhere. EVERYONE has a beginning. A beginning journey with no followers, no fans, no audience, no brand deals, no money, no respect, etc. Just a pure love for whatever it is you do. It's those that never stop that give themselves a chance to "make it". And the ones who would continue doing their thing even if they don't "make it" are the ones who usually end up winning in the long run.

In this episode DJ Nicole Rose shares how she was doing her best to "adult" at a marketing company when her father pushed her to get a hobby. Little did she know that this hobby would become her life, her identity, and her entire professional being. She shares how she started out playing private parties for friends before eventually leveling up little by little by little in the NYC club scene. Now she not only does DJ gigs, but she's a podcaster, an entrepreneur, and a true thought leader for young women everywhere. Tune in to hear what actions she took to rise up in the niche of female DJs.

The thought process of "saving your money" until you're 65 is dead. No one wants to do JUST that anymore. When you're older you get tired, and you won't want to do the same things as your younger self once did. This mindset shift in our culture is made possible by technology. To live a life by design means you optimize your decades with the money you earn, and live with no regrets while getting true fulfillment from the memories you experience along the way.

In this episode Bill Perkins, multi-millionaire businessman and now author, communicates why he wrote the book called Die With Zero: Getting All You Can From Your Money And Your Life. He discusses what net fulfillment over net worth means, why memory dividends are so important to us as human beings, and why it's extremely important to plan out your life curve as it relates to time, money, experiences, and happiness. This is one of the only books in existence that directly addresses the concept of life cycle modeling. And while it's a newer concept, it's more relevant than EVER in the New Age. Money isn't the end game. Money is simply the tool which allows you to DO things in life and not waste time. The societal narrative is shifting as far as what it means to live a dream lifestyle. There's far more to it than just working, earning, and saving. That mode of thinking is dead.

There are endless opportunities on social media for people to build personal brands for themselves and create true freedom with the internet. And this especially rings true for people of the creative arts. As long as you're willing to post your work/craft/hobby/interest for the world to see there's no reason why you can't go from "starving artist" to "in demand creator"

In this episode Drew Forde, expert viola musician and social media maverick, details how he's leveraged the internet tools of today to make music his full time gig. He explains how he became a Juilliard Music School graduate, how he fought to make money in the real world after the fact by playing for people in the subway, and how he didn't give up on making his dream lifestyle come a reality. In the creative arts it can be incredibly difficult to find a high paying "regular" job....but through the power of consistent sharing you won't ever need one. If you are someone trying to make your craft your lifestyle, this is a must listen.

95% of the time the only thing holding someone back from going after what they want is limiting beliefs. We live in a distraction based society. Often it becomes too easy to ignore reality and numb true feelings, and many times it prevents us from truly growing as human beings. We relive some memorable moments from his days touring with the group, we discuss some of his personal relationships in depth, and we learn how he's been able to become a respected leader of the new age educational movement that's currently taking place in our world. Terms you often hear on social media in reference to building your dream life are as follows: "grind" "hustle" "sacrifice" "push through" and on and on and on. Well, these words often create blanket meanings and steer us away from the ACTUAL factors that contribute to success, by your own definition.

In this episode Erik Bergman shares with us these factors along his unique and refreshing perspectives about what it means to live a happy and fulfilling life. He gives us tactical advice about how to set yourself up to ACTUALLY make money online, why it's important to adopt a long term perspective, how to use social media to get there, and why happiness doesn't often mean what people think it means. Through his experience of building multi-million dollar businesses, getting rich, and realizing that money isn't the answer, he shares incredibly valuable advice for those in the process of trying to make things happen for themselves.

We all have interest, hobbies, and pleasures in life that we strive to spend more time doing. However, very few of us ever try to parlay them into an actual lifestyle.

In this episode Dominic Biagini shares with us how he went from only caring about becoming a baseball player to now becoming a social media influencer/whale watching company owner. He discusses how he took an interest he had and turned it into a full time lifestyle. He outlines what actions he took, how he learned to do what he's doing, and how social media played a huge role in making everything happen. Often times as adults we get bogged down in "responsible" tasks only, and fail to make time for what lights us up. In this episode I discuss how regular people are making money online. This is the basic framework for almost ALL successful online based income streams. The product doesn't matter. It doesn't matter WHAT you're selling, all that matters is HOW you are selling. Because the days of "clickbait" "get rich quick" schemes are over. The only people who will make long term money online are the people who execute this framework correctly. Tune in to hear the details.
