One of the biggest things Jason Gonzales took away from the Navy was mindset. He learned to appreciate things that seemed foreign to him, and respect the people around him - despite their differences. In the end, teamwork was a big part of the Navy, and it gave Jason a new outlook for the way in which he would navigate the world moving forward. After leaving the Navy, Jason faced a much different world in the materialistic, "every person for themselves" mentality that drove the culture in Los Angeles.
