It’s fine and good and free from scandal to talk about God the Living One, or God the Comforter, or God the Redeemer, or God the Artisan, or God the Abba, or even God the Shepherd, but to Consider God the Judge? 

No way. No thank you. 

That’s the metaphor most people don’t like. But why?
