This episode features Guelph's own David J Knight. David is an artist, musician and archeologist - creator of "Tales of a Guelphite" and songwriter under the name "A Single Voice". Just before we went into quarantine mode, David had set up an exhibit of his art at the Bullfrog Mall branch of the Guelph Public Library - it is still on display, but in a closed library. That seems like bad luck, but in an even worse coincidence, the last time David had an art exhibit up, 9-11 happened. It's an odd pattern, but David creates outside the boundaries of particular "release dates" so he's keeping a positive attitude. He's releasing music on his soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/david-j-knight) that spans twenty years of production, he's drawing, and he's gardening. We talk about this, about the parallels between archeology, music and drawing and how they're all "recordings", the significance of discovering a cornerstone, and how to know when you've "removed enough dirt" to share what you've found.
