291 God created everything by the Eternal Word, His beloved Son.

III. Apex Of Creation is Man whose duty and pleasure is to know and serve His Creator

CCC #1God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life. For this reason, at every time and in every place, God draws close to man. He calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. Honor father and mother comes after worship of God and before man’s duties towards others. It is the only commandment with an inducement to keep it- long life and land. These words are compact for expansive Hebraic ideas.

VII. Jesus as the Way, Truth and Life kept all the commandments faithfully. As Christians, it is His example (as both our God and Savior) of honoring (His Mother, Mary) we strive to imitate Him.

VIII. Pivotal question then is: How did Jesus love His Mother? Jesus is our Model in all things.
