Despite a challenge from two Persian governors, God's people continued the work of rebuilding the temple, stirred by Haggai and Zechariah's preaching of repentance. They had Divine and royal authority to labour as humble servants. Like us they needed patient trust, to obey and focus on the Lord's work.
