Toronto's Owen Barney has a nomination for Single of the Year for "Thank Her For That" and for Songwriter of the Year for the same song along with his co-writers at this year's CMAOntario Awards Show taking place in September.

Owen is following up the success of that song with a new EP Tough Times featuring the lead single "You Make Me Wanna (Brown Eyed Girl) which samples the classic Van Morrison song.

The talented artist has been strumming the guitar since he was just 7 years old, influenced by country heavy-hitters Eric Church, Dean Brody, and Jason Aldean.
