Serious Sam started out as a callback to earlier days of FPS games. When shooters were more simple. Times when Wolfenstein and Doom carried the genre with great level design and fun game play. Serious Sam 4 looks to leave some of that legacy behind but instead bring what it created forward. Unfortunately, due to performance issues on console and weirdly bad level design, Serious Sam 4 lacks a lot of fun.
