Remaining in Jesus is not a one month thing; it is an eternal commitment However, I challenge us this month to slow down to spend time with Elohim. I believe He will replenish us with His presence and word to produce much fruit in the near future. Many of us are settled into our new season but don’t have the roadmap of what’s next. Knowing what’s next is not the first priority in this month. When we have gone through pain, failure, suffering, or humiliation we can quickly forget that Jesus paid for us to be at peace, joyful and free. This sounds easier said than done when you’re looking at it from your humanity instead of looking at the cross. These blessings are gifts to us from Jesus and all we need to do is embrace them and believe His word trumps whatever we may see in the natural or have faced in the past. You can also ask the Holy Spirit to help you embrace these gifts if you need an extra push. // Meditated Passage: John 19. Stay encouraged in the Lord! I don’t know how He did it but He did it, will be your testimony. As I reflect on this first quarter, I am humbled and grateful by God’s Sovereignty and grace. We our finite beings… we don’t always know what tomorrow will bring. One day you can be full of life and the next full of pain. But one thing is for certain: Nothing can change what Jesus did on that cross. We can choose to believe that what He did is greater than what we will ever face in this life. We can choose peace in the midst of opposition, choose hope, even in the midst of pain. May the same God who carried me through this quarter make a way for you. Tonight let’s pray! One way of denying ourselves is repenting and resting daily. God tells His people this in Isaiah 30:15 and we can apply it in our lives today. I don’t know what is on your mind or what you have endured as of late; but I do know God has already handled what you couldn’t. Christ already made way for you to attain God’s promises. Embracing the new is not always easy even when we want to. For many this is not just a new month, it’s a new season, and for some, a new life. It’s embarking in spaces you’ve never known and being introduced to a version of yourself God always knew. We cannot march in the new without God. Let’s cling to Him and keep our gaze ahead. He is the God who sees and cares for the well being of His people. He is the God who even shows the unbeliever His ways so they would follow it. I’m telling you, what looks big in front of you, is no match for God. The hope deferred nor the lies of the enemy can keep God from blessing you. I’m believing with you in faith God will grant you a double portion instead of shame this year. You will not have to fight for this double portion. You will just need to rest in God and thank Him for it as if it’s already done. I am a witness, God can turn anything around for our good. Pursuing what’s eternal is what Jesus came to model for us to do also. The Bible reveals to us we should make the most of our time and resources using them to build God’s kingdom. What we do for God matters more than chasing after worldly things. Even wealth, when chased without using it to store eternal treasures, can become a snare to us and can cause us to lose sight of what matters most. Which is delighting in things that are pleasing to God. This episode is to encourage you not to forget the purpose of this life and in 2024, to pursue what is eternal. As we’re getting ready to enter the 4Q of 2023, it is critical for us to not allow the enemy nor our flesh cause us to forget God’s word and God’s promises. Often it is not that we forget about them but that we have allowed the absence of certain things to have our attention than keeping our attention on God’s faithfulness. The devil will try to use any means to deter your focus at this time, to forfeit you from receiving what God has ordained for you to receive before this year comes to an end. What God says never gets outdated and so your faith as well should stay the course. What does it mean to believe in Jesus? If we cannot effectively answer this question as Christians in 2021 then we need to have this conversation. Time is short and souls are on the line- we must know the truth to proclaim it to this lost world and not lose our souls in the process. Last week we talked about love being more about displaying actions than saying words. We focused on observing whether people treat us with love or lust. We then debunked if Love really does not cost a thing. In tonight's episode, we turn the tables on ourselves and see if we meet the description of love or practice the ACTIONS (characteristics) of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. This is important for every believer to know and respect: God is merciful but God doesn’t like to be mocked. Let us not diminish His character, nature, and power. We can’t fool Him. He knows the heart and intent of all. Imagine if God said He loved you but the whole time, He was lyin’ about it. Well, many of us do this to God—through our actions and our motives. You say you love God but does your life confess it. Such discussions must be had. When will all agree that the surface level conversations/messages are outdated? When will we decide to move by the leading of the Spirit. Don’t forget the main message of 2020. It’s not about you, it’s not about me, it’s not about we, it’s about going back to GOD. Rebecca, Ruth, Esther, & the proverbs 31 were beautiful as the Bible describes them. However, their beauty came second place to their faithful, loving, noble, courageous, wise, and generous character.
You see though Rebecca was beautiful, if she didn’t do what the servant had asked in his prayer to the Lord, she wouldn’t have been chosen to be the wife of Isaac.
You see though Ruth was beautiful, if she didn’t treat her mother-in-law with love and respect, If she didn’t work with passion in the grape field, if she was unkind to her co-workers, she wouldn’t have received favor from Boaz & became his wife.
The proverbs 31 woman, was not a crown to her husband because of her looks, but because of her prudence.
When you have these characters & you walk them out genuinely, you’re the most attractive person and the one who recognize that about you, will refuse to pass up the opportunity to pursue you. The question is, do you view yourself that way? This is for both men and women. Those who are whole see themselves that way and embrace it. Those who don’t try to find someone or be with someone, to affirm it to them.
My friends, what is good is good by itself. What is good is whole. And that is why he who finds a wife or husband finds favor from the Lord. They didn’t find someone who was looking to be found… they found someone who didn’t need to be found... because instead they were revealed! The essence of your character, love, your love for God and others is the favor someone is praying for. It is what God sees, and pause for a moment and says, “uh, uh, it is not good for her to be alone, it is not good for him to be alone.” So, when you view God’s WILL as your greatest desire, everything will fall into place—including your future spouse. Pray about it! Let God know how this breaks your heart. The Lord is not slow to provide justice where it is needed. He hates partiality and injustice. If you are a believer, and you choose to remain silent on these issues... I’m not sure you know the God you serve. We have to be bold in this hour and proclaim the whole truth of the gospel. Racism is not of God! It is a sin! We need to call sin for what it is. We need to continue to speak up until REAL change is enacted in the justice system. In the trainings and hirings of police officers. The death of George Floyd has created a revolution that has done more action in 4 days then previous cases where white policemen have unlawfully killed black men. Also, know that God is never please when injustice is going rampant!!!!!!

Keeping our momentum in order to have an AMAZING 2020 will require us to give “double” the effort—keeping God first and Sticking to the Vision. By the end of this year, if you seriously hold yourself accountable, you will reap “double” the results. We have to do things differently this time around. Yes, we are in a new year, but are you in a new state of mind? Don’t bring what didn’t work in 2019 into this year. In 2020, let’s not prepare ourselves to lose, but to win! We will lose if we don’t “keep God first and stick to the vision.” We will win if you do! But let us decide early on during this first quarter our destiny.”

Let’s be honest, singles! Loneliness is definitely a phase we go through during our single-hood. Next thing you know feeling lonely also leads many singles to become doubtful of ever finding love. And the holiday season makes it most difficult for singles who are currently in those phases to stay optimistic. That’s why I created the “The Chronicles of a Single” series.
