As we continue in our series "Explicit God" this week Pastor Chad will help us to unpack the attribute of the holiness of God. To be holy means to be set apart, so what does it mean when we say that God is holy? We'll be looking at an encounter between the prophet Isaiah and God's holiness as we learn what happens to us when we encounter the holiness of God.

We wrap up our Upside Down Kingdom series this weekend learning what we can do about those who hurt us - specifically those who sexually harass, assault or abuse us. Although this subject has only recently come to light in our society, this is not a new issue. Sexual sin has been around since the beginning of man. As Jesus taught about the Kingdom of Heaven, his followers were often left feeling confused because the principals and values he spoke of were so different, so upside down to what they believed to be true. If we are being honest, many of us today would consider Jesus' teachings to be upside down as well. Perhaps this is why we often find ourselves taking two steps forward and three steps back. When you hear the term “VIP” (very important person), what comes to mind? Maybe you think of getting your hands on a backstage pass at a concert, or courtside seats to a game. But the truth is, being a VIPerson is pretty rare, and it isn’t given to just anyone… It’s usually based on what we have, or who we know, that allows us to have any kind of VIP access. As human beings, we all have a deep need to feel important and valued, but we rarely want to admit it. This weekend, in our Upside Down Kingdom series, Pastor Jared, will be sharing who God’s VIP are in His Kingdom.

Each of these beatitudes build upon the other but the first is the most foundational. Pastor Don will lead us through the first beatitude and highlight the five key words that address two significant questions: “Who am I" and "Who is God?”
We live in a fast-paced world that focuses on end goals, results, and getting to the finish line as fast as possible. We run through life searching for the most convenient and efficient way to quickly reach our destination. When things aren’t moving in the right direction, it’s easy to take control and impose our own will. But what if that isn’t God’s will? For most of us, the destination is more important than the journey. However, for God, the journey is more important than the destination. Jesus did not come to inherit or to start a religion but He came to reconnect humanity with Father God and to establish God's Kingdom here on earth. At the center of God’s Kingdom is RELATIONSHIP. It’s relationship with Jesus first and then with others. Weekly visits to church and religious acts is not what makes us worthy of relationship with Jesus yet so often we are prone to being performance-driven and not relationship-driven.
Jesus rejected the performance-driven ways of the earthly kingdom. He pursued relationship and wants us to do the same. How would our lives look if we lived the way Jesus intends for those living in the Kingdom of God?
“I’m the Bread-winner in my family!” Have you ever heard someone say that? What they are really saying is that they bring the most money, substance, and security to their family. And because of this, many people in our world today are consumed with the pursuit of “Bread.” And sometimes without even knowing it, we base our personal value and self-esteem on how much we have, and we value others based on how much or little they have.

As we close our series "Be Christmas" this weekend, we look at the Christmas story through the lens of God the Father. How deep His agape love was for us that He sent His only son to reconcile us back to Him. We've read John 3:16 many times before, but how good are we at extending that same love and reconciliation to others? How can we begin to love all people the way God so loved us? As we continue in our BE CHRISTMAS series – we’re reminded that it’s not about doing Christmas. It’s about BEING Christmas. Almighty God came to us as human, because we couldn't go to Him. We live in an age of social media where it's getting easier and easier to see what others have, and to desire those things. But what does it mean to covet? This week Pastor Chad will close out our Decalogue series as we talk about commandment #10 “Thou shalt not covet…”
This weekend we’re on the 9th commandment, “Do not tell lies about others.” Exodus 20:16. It is possible to be a godly person, someone who walks by faith, and yet feel compelled to lie? Why do we lie? Some wonder, if it is possible to tell the truth all the time? Telling the truth is more than a just a "good" and "decent" value we are called to live by. Speaking the truth at all times and living an honest life reflects God's character and sets us free.
This weekend we continue with our series titled “Decalogue,” the Ten Commandments that were literally handed to Moses by God on Mount Sinai. We’ve learned through this series that God created each of these commandments to guide and help us to discover our God given destiny and purpose. Join us as Pastor Dawn shares a message on the 7th Commandment “Though Shall Not Commit Adultery” and learn how faithfulness in marriage is a reflection of our faithfulness to God.
The eighth commandment, “You shall not steal,” is something everyone - Christian or non-Christian - would agree is a good value to uphold. Yet despite this, many of us have been guilty of putting our hand in the cookie jar. Why is it that we can agree in the value of not stealing but find ourselves engaging in this behavior? Join us as Pastor Keane unpacks the eighth commandment, where he will be discussing the root behind the action of stealing: a selfish heart that we all suffer from.
There are so many ways we 'kill' others, and it's not always physically. Because our words are very powerful, we need wisdom from above to use our words wisely. Our words also reveal the state of our hearts. When we consider the words Jesus spoke we can begin to understand the depth of the command, You must not murder. Join us this weekend as Pastor Tiffa teaches us about the important implications of the sixth commandment.
Relationships create a sense of belonging and are so valuable in the eyes of God - this is especially true for the relationships in our family. Perhaps that is why God placed such a great emphasis on the fifth commandment, "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you." Unfortunately, satan tries so hard to destroy the relationships within our families and trap us in isolation. Join us as Pastor Keane asks the question, "Have you taken the bait of Satan?"

Unhealthy relationships and divorce are a painful reality in our families but God's Word provides everything we need to restore our marriages and relationships back into His divine desire.
