🚨 WARNING: THIS MAY SEND ME BROKE 🚨
I talk a lot about accountability to my clients.
Today, I’m about to embark on a 365-day journey of accountability.
I’m going to put my money where my mouth is and practice what I preach.
For the next 365 days, I am going to record and upload an episode of my podcast every... single… day.
If I’m sick, if I’m on holiday, if I haven’t had any sleep or under the pump with my business; no matter what is happening, I will commit to recording a podcast every single day for a year, no matter what.
How does this tie in with accountability? Well, I’m hoping you will hold me accountable. If I don’t do what I say I’m going to do, I’m going to pay you in cash.
If you’re reading this on Facebook page, I want you to comment and share this post.
Comment your name, your business, a topic you want me to talk about, anything you like… just comment.
To every person who comments and shares this, if I fail to upload a podcast a single day in the next 365 days, I will send you $10 in the mail.
No excuses, no exceptions, if I miss just 1 single day you’ll get $10.
Now, that may not sound like a lot if this only gets a few comments… but what if it gets 100? Or 1,000? Or even more?
If you are watching this video right now that means that I’ve either started this journey and I may be hundreds of podcasts in…
… or it might be Day 1.
It doesn’t matter where I’m at, comment below and if I miss a day, you’ll get paid.
My podcasts are normally around 10-15 minutes.
I keep them short and sharp to give you as much value as I can, and each is on a different topic to help you grow in your career and as a business owner now or in the future.
I really want you to come on this journey of accountability with me, maybe you even make a similar commitment in your life to do something every day or week.
I have helped hundreds of businesses grow their profits and achieve financial freedom, and I’m going to be sharing this information in my podcast.
Remember, you must COMMENT and SHARE this post to be eligible for the $10!
You can find my podcast on Spotify, Apple, Google, anywhere you enjoy listening. Just search the Billy Rickman Show.
Thanking you in advance. Wish me luck!
I remember being asked once, 'is it more important to be better in business or different?'
The answer undoubtedly is... to be different. Why? Being better at something doesn't make you stand out. It doesn't create a point of conversation. It doesn't give Clients a reason to choose your business over another. Being better after all, is subjective, and what's better for one person, may not be for another. Being different though, gives you a real competitive advantage because you can offer someone something that they cannot get anywhere else. Tune into Episode 109 of the podcast as I talk about your points of difference and how it's important to create them for your business!
Have you ever had moments in your life where things felt great?
Where you were succeeding in all areas?
You were growing and getting real results?
This could be down to a few things, but I’m gonna bet that at this time, you were doing a certain few things consistently in order to get those results.
You would have been exercising or drinking a lot of water, getting up earlier, networking, eating healthier, reading more, listening to more podcasts, journaling, meditating...
... maybe a combination of a few things.
You would have been doing things differently and then once you got that hot streak or that goal, you stopped.
Why?
What did you stop doing and how has it effected you?
Tune into this episode as I discover my own realisations and what I’m now doing to get myself back on track!
One of the things I'm most passionate about in life is energy! Having positive and high energy is essential to success in any area of life.
Without energy, it's like swimming against the current with no arms.
The misconception around energy though is that it's only reserved for energetic people. This is not true. Anyone can have high energy, you just have to be conscious about the things you do and the habits you have.
Tune into Episode 107 of the podcast as I take energy to task and motivate you to have more energy in your life!
What are you grateful for? I mean truly grateful?
The things that make you jump out of bed every morning and be on fire with excitement and joy. Everybody can feel like this, but it all starts with one magic word... gratitude.
Gratitude helps you to see the world differently and can be your superpower when it comes to leadership. Being grateful makes you feel differently, it makes you love differently, it makes you act differently and it makes others act differently with you.
Tune into this episode as I talk about gratitude and how Ive used it in my own life to inspire myself and others.
This is Episode 106 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast.
There's a saying that says 'Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion.'
I find this statement to be so true, and I've been tested with this a lot over the past few months. I've had to question my own journey and try to understand am I stressed or am I passionate?
Ultimately, the answer for me is that Im passionate, and because I love what I do, it's what drives me to get up early and stay up late. I know my passion and it helps me every day, especially when things are hard.
If you want to know whether you're passionate or stressed...Stay tuned... this is Episode number 105 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎧

[MAJOR NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT]
Last Friday, we had huge announcement on a Facebook Live with regards to the upcoming SALONGROWTHCON event.
In June this year, 1,500 Salon Owners are heading to the Gold Coast to see 23 of the most successful and inspirational speakers to talk about how you can grow and succeed as a Salon Owner…
… And we wanted to reward the people who are helping us to make this possible, and create the biggest change to the Salon Industry in decades.
As this is the first year of the event, people are still unsure, and so we wanted to find a way to get the word out there, to encourage people to attend and to reward those people who do so, with cash, tickets and free accomodation!
Tune into Episode 93 of The Billy Rickman Show, as we I explain what all of this means, and give you the chance to make sure you’re a part of it!
This may make you very nervous if you are currently getting awesome results with Instagram…
… but, Instagram is slowing down with organic reach. What does this mean? Well, organic reach is the posts people see when you don’t pay for it (they’re not paid ads).
When Facebook first started, you were told as a business owner to get a page and get your clients to like it… because it was free marketing! Then Facebook stopped showing your posts to people unless it was paid for or really engaging with tonnes of likes, comments and shares. Business owners noticed this slow down and so recently have jumped on to Instagram because it’s free marketing…
Are you thinking by now that you’ve heard this before? Well if you haven’t quite caught on yet… how about if I told you that Facebook owns Instagram. Now are you starting to get it?
The reality is that the free marketing is always fleeting, especially when it comes to online companies… so you must learn to diversify!

WARNING: This episode may just freak you out!!
For the past 18 months, Ive been banging on about the power of Bots! (NO, this isn’t another Bot episode 😋)
Whenever someone tells me they don’t work, or they’re just a fad, or they don’t like them…. my response is ‘what… you don’t like money?’ 🤑
But seriously, this is the truth. Bots make my clients more money, get more bookings and build more profitable businesses, than any other single marketing tool…. BY FAR!
And now, things just got even more serious! Artificial Intelligence is now starting to creep into the marketing world in a BIG way, and you can now create a Bot, that not only replies to your messages and promotes your business, but it can LEARN to be exactly like you, talk like you, think like you, and effectively be you! 😲
What does this mean for your business? Well, it means that you will no longer have to spend all night replying to messages. Or miss a booking because you took too long to reply. Or not give the information to the client that they want, when they want it.
A bot is one thing, but now training it so that it learns to talk and respond exactly like you…. well that is next level! 😎
Tune in to Episode 90, as I get talk about how artificial intelligence, may soon play a MAJOR part in your business success! 👊🏻
Yesterday, we met Jessica Luise Bollington... 🙋🏻
✅ Business Anxiety
✅ Lost Belief
✅ Lowered Self Esteem
Then, just as the story was seeming like a bit of a low, Jess started to tell us about some pretty massive changes that she was just about to implement, both personally and professionally.
In today's episode, it's part two of Jess's journey, as she leaves the past behind and moves into a much more positive and successful future! 💃🏻
If you want to believe it's possible to change and smash your goals, then tune into Part 2 of The Jessica Luise Bollington story! 🎙
Have you ever struggled with...
Well, this is Jess. 😬
Actually, I should say, this WAS Jess. 💁🏻
12 months ago, Jess started my Coaching program, turning over $27,000 a month (EVERY month).
She struggled massively with all of these things I just listed, until a few things she took action on, DRASTICALLY changed her whole life! 😲
12 months later, and Jess now has her sights squarely on turning over $100,000 a month, and you know what...
... I think she's going to get there! 🙌🏻
This is a two part story not to be missed.
Tune in... This is Episode 87 of The Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙
Yesterday I had two unique events happen that both revolved around the subject of judgement...
... and when I did, I got a few people private message me with negative comments, telling me that I only want to help because I want her money! 🤨
This is actually NOT true at all, and I genuinely just wanted to help.
Billy 5 years ago, would have got upset about these comments, and would have wasted my day worrying about it. 😓
These days though, I don't care about other people's negative perceptions and Ive learned to brush it off. It has been the most freeing thing EVER! 🕺🏻
Because she cares of the JUDGEMENT and what other people will think! 😬🧐
Heres the thing - constantly caring about other people's opinions is paralysing you and stopping you from living your very best life!
I talk about this in Episode 86 and why you need to stop this habit... RIGHT FREAKING NOW!! 👊🏻
In the past 4 months, I've told four of my coaching clients to sell their business. 😱 Why? Well... because it's time! ⌛ I mean, is there a thing as holding on to your business for 'too long?' Is there a point, or points in time, when you should say goodbye and move on? The answer is YES! ✅ Too many people hold onto their businesses because they either don't want to feel like a 'failure' or they feel obligated to stay because of other people. These are probably two of the worst reasons you should stay in your business, and if this sounds like you, it's time to GET OUT! 👋🏻 The easiest way to know if it's time for you, is by looking at your passion. This may be a controversial topic for some, but it's something Ive been thinking about lately.... What is better as an Entrepreneur, being single with no partner and no kids? 👶🏻
... Or being in a committed relationship with kids demanding your time? 😴
Sounds like a no-brainer right?! The more time you have the easier it would be to succeed.
Well this may be true, but lately Ive been thinking that maybe it's not as black and white as that. Maybe there's advantages to having relationship and children responsibilities that single people don't have. 🤔
If you're like me and have thought about this, or you begrudge people for having a different life to you, then tune into this Episode, where I discuss the pros and cons of each, and see where the advantage lies. 💡

During the last 3 months of 2018, I started to feel tired, I constantly lacked focus, I had no energy and my normal motivation was missing in action!
I had so much work on, and my thought was...
... "I need to work my way out... by doing more work!"
I started to make bad decisions, treat my body the wrong way, and didn't take any time to think about what I was doing to myself!
Over the Christmas break, I listened to a Podcast episode that reminded me about who I was in the first 6 months of the year.
How my mind was exploding with motivation and inspiration... and how my energy levels were always insanely high!
It made me take massive action immediately, and now 4 weeks on, I feel better than ever before... and ready to take on the world!
If you want to know how I did it, tune in to Episode 83!

Two weeks ago, I sent a message to nearly 2,000 people offering them a FREE 30 Minute Coaching POWER SESSION! 💪🏻
Around 1,200 of them clicked to learn more, but so few actually then clicked to go further and book! 😲
Of course there are reasons for this like...
"They're probably just going to try and sell me" OR "I've done this before somewhere else and got nothing!"
... but mostly, I believe the main reason is because people are too scared to maybe look like a failure. Or maybe they feel as though they might look silly. Or maybe they don't think they're big enough or worthy enough for coaching!
This mindset and these LIMITING beliefs about yourself and your worth, are often the biggest contributor to lack of action, and it is KILLING your ability to succeed! ☠
Tune into this Episode, as I go to a LEVEL 10 on this, and why you MUST break this cycle of inaction if you are going to succeed! 🏆
Over the holiday period, I was catching up with a lot of friends and family, and since Im always at work, people were asking me... 'What the heck have you been up to?!' We spoke about my family, sports, and I mentioned to a few of them that 2019 was going to be a MASSIVE year for my business! Excitedly I told them about SalonGrowth Con and how the goal was to have 1,500 people attend the event on the Gold Coast at the Convention centre, and to make it the biggest event ever staged in the industry!! Want to know what most people said?... ...'But what if you fail?!' You would be blown away by how many people said that to me, and genuinely, that was there first thought! Can you believe it... there first thought was to think about FAILURE!! It got me thinking though, and it made me realise how many other people, especially in business, have their default thought as fear of failure! I explained this story in more detail today on a Facebook Live... and what my simple reply was to each of them that totally changes the conversation!
"PRE-REGISTER FOR SALONGROWTH CON 2019. CLICK HERE NOW!"
Just before Christmas, I launched my Coaching page, and since then I've been inundated with Applicants who want Coaching! 👨🏻🏫
In the the past few days, I started working my way through the Applications, and I've been making tonnes of phone calls to people all over the world! 🌏
Speaking to all these people, has lead me to a major conclusion...
... Business Owners are FAR more likely to set 'realistic' and achievable goals, than they are to set BIG goals.... that are maybe a bit of a stretch! ↔
What most people don't realise though, is that setting realistic and achievable goals as a strategy has a MAJOR PROBLEM associated to it! 😬
The thing is, is that it's human nature to only put in just the right amount of effort required to achieve the goals you set, and therefore...
Setting Small Goals = Small Productivity and Output! 👶🏻
Setting BIG Goals, though = BIG Productivity and Output! 💪🏻
In my first podcast back for 2019, I talk about goal setting and the reasons why you should be setting your goals so BIG and so UNREALISTIC that it forces you to take MASSIVE action!
The past 10 years has seen some massive changes in the way businesses operate day-to-day. 👩💻
One of the biggest driving forces behind these changes, has been with technology, and specifically through software and apps. 🖥
Cloudbased software particularly, has forced many positive changes to business.
We can now check an up to date P&L on the train. We can make bookings in our beds at midnight. We can put through transactions without any cash or card. 💳
All of these things have come about in the past few years alone, which begs the question...
... What does the next few years have in store for us, and what will that mean for your business. 🤔
Tune in to Episode 79 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast, when I discuss this with Ryan Baker, the Co-founder and CEO of Timely.
At best, copywriting is confusing for some people. At worst, it's something that causes the blood to rush from their face at the mere thought of it! ☠
So what is it? Well, the strict definition is open for debate, but roughly speaking, it's the words you use in your ads, your emails, your letters etc. that hopefully cause people to take action and do business with you. 💳
The problem is, that most aren't very confident when it comes to this skill, and so they either stick to the basics and don't get results, outsource it to someone else... or just don't do it at all. 😖
There is a skill in doing this, and there is a way to get it right, but you first you have to ask the right question. ❓❓❓
Tune in to Episode 78 as I give you a solid copywriting hack that's going to help you to massively increase your conversion! 👊
In the world of marketing and business, there are polarised views on whether to invest marketing money into branding. 👍 vs. 👎
It's hard to do, and almost impossible to measure, but get it right, and you could end up like..... well, Apple! 🍎
Branding is always a hot topic in business, so in this Episode, I get to chat with someone who knows a lot in this area, and hopefully shed some light on the do's, don'ts and reasons why, a business should invest in branding! 💰💰💰
Stay tuned, as I get to talk with the AMAZING Ashlee Laura in Episode 77 of the Billy Rickman Show podcast. 🎵
Lately I had an interaction on Facebook with one of my best friends from school's Mum. It got me reminiscing about my High School days and about one time when I could have been the hero of the school... well temporarily anyways. 🏅
I had the chance and I blew it, and now 20 years on, I still look back on that moment with regret. 😒
In this episode, I talk about this moment in my life and relate it to how you may be failing to take the winning shot every day in your business! 🥅

After about 30 seconds, I got into my rhythm and laid down my best advice to this question. What was it? 🤔

Most people in business are waiting for a MAGIC strategy to transform their business. 🎩🐇
What if there was a way you could massively increase your sales though, and it didnt cost you any money... or require you to know complex marketing strategies? 😃
Last week, I ran an experiment with 14 business owners, and almost all of them reported record sales, by simply introducing this one strategy!
What was it? Tune into Episode 74 as I talk you through exactly what you need to do to get the same results as these business owners! 👊🏻

It's one of the most powerful words in the English language - Regret.
Do you have them? If so, what do you regret? The thing is, that most of us don't regret the things we do, we regret the things we didn't do. 😖
This week, I had an incredibly sad event happen, when my Pop passed away. It got me thinking a lot about how I will feel when Im older. What will I regret, and how do I make sure that I limit this...
I talk regret in this Episode of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast. Stay tuned! 🎙️
Most people find it hard just being in business... Well, try doing it with 4 kids under 7!! 😨
With a background in the cosmetic industry spanning 19 years, Vanessa has seen and done it all, whilst facing some massive challenges and trying to keep her sanity on the way! 😵
Vanessa’s ongoing challenge to maintain family and work balance is very relatable for many business owners, so I wanted to find out how she does it and how she keeps on going! 👊
They say the best form of defence is attack, and I definitely believe that in most cases! 🤺
There have been a lot of changes lately in my own professional life, and it's caused me to rethink where I currently am, and whether or not Im on the attack or playing all out defence... in other words, am I playing to win, or playing not to lose? 🤔
Theres a big difference between these two, and results will always fall to those who are playing to WIN. In this Episode of the Podcast I talk about this and explain why its not only important for me right now, but why it's important for you in your business too! 👊
Tune in.... this is Episode 67 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙️
One of the questions I always ask business owners is, what are they famous for? 🤔
If you're in the restaurant business, then you want to be famous for your Steak or your Prawns.... your Bolognese. 🍝
Average restaurants are usually the ones who are just good at a lot of things, rather than being really really great at one or two things...
And being average at a lot things (or being a generalist), is why they struggle to find a platform or develop a serious vehicle for growth! 🏎️
When you are in business, you've got to find what you're great at... market the heck out of it, become famous for it and then cross clients over into the other areas of your business, once they're in!
I talk about finding your own vehicle for growth and discovering what you're famous for, in Episode 63 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙️
I get asked all the time "What platforms should I be using online to market my business, when I don't have a lot of time?" 🤷♀️
Introducing.... my social pentagon! 🙌
Want to know what the heck Im talking about? Tune in to Episode 62 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙️
How do you get a Sloth to move? Well, the answer is... with something pretty freakin' enticing! 😆
This week, I started my book challenge (which you can join if you like at https://www.facebook.com/groups/billysbookclub) to read 52 books in 52 weeks.
The first book Im reading is by Dan Kennedy on direct response marketing, and specifically in one section, about how to move a sloth to take action on your marketing offer or promotion. 📄
It really stood out to me because, quite frankly, most offers suck - don't worry, I mean myself included! 😨
It really got me thinking though, about my own offers and how compelling they are... or need to be, in order to get someone to take action.
I thought about it so much that I decided to do a Podcast episode on it. Tune into Episode 61 as I go deep on this topic and talk about about creating offers that are too irresistible to say no to! 🔥
Over the past few weeks, Ive been hosting a few of my Sales Training Events for some awesome Entrepreneurs! 🤩
The problem though (which is consistent pretty much across every single business I get in my training), is that people are trying to sell based on logical decision making! 👎
After studying intensely some of the world's best sales people, I can promise you that this is the WORST thing you can do when trying to sell anything. Everything you have ever bought has been bought, not on logic...
... But based on emotion, yet so few people sell like this! 🤨
In this Episode, I talk about this in detail AND attempt to change your mindset on what it takes to sell ANYTHING! 🔥🔥🔥
Tune in. This is Episode 60 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙️
If you ask people what the difference is between success and failure, you'll hear a lot of 'intelligence, skill, more technologically savvy'..... maybe even that 'they're younger (or older!)'. 👵
The truth is that none of these come close to one thing.... hard work and being relentless! 💪
In this episode, I talk about my experiences working with many Entrepreneurs.... and this one thing that makes all the difference.
This is Episode 59 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast. 🎙️
Wow! What an experience, this year's Bali Coaching Retreat was! 🌅
We had plenty of tears and tantrums, but above all else, we had some amazing times and memories for a lifetime! 🤗
The most important thing I found, was that during these 6 days, everybody was pushed way outside their comfort zone, and from that, everybody massively grew in confidence, and gained new skillsets to take back into their business! 🔥
In this special episode of the Billy RIckman Show Podcast, I look back on the week in Bali that was, and talk about the lessons I learned from this amazing experience. 🙌🏻
This is Episode number 58! 🎙️
Only one more day left of the Bali Coaching Retreat, and it's been an incredible week! 🌅
Ive learnt so many lessons personally, about others.... and as a group we've had some incredible breakthroughs! 💪🏻
In this Episode, you get to meet a few of the people who joined me on the retreat, listen to their takeaways and their best advice. 🙌🏻
Tune in to Episode 57 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙️
In Episode 18, I spoke about self doubt. It's now only 38 episodes later and Im talking about it again! 😬
Why? Well, after my experiences at Day 1 of the Coaching Retreat in Bali, I've now realised more than ever, just how much it impedes the success of so many business owners. 😵
More than a lack of finances, a lack of resources, a lack of experience...
...Self-doubt is the main contributor to people not taking action, and therefore not reaching their dreams and goals. 😥
I talk about this topic again in today's episode. Tune in... this is Episode 56. 🎙️
One of the questions I get asked a lot is ‘how frequently should I email or sms my clients?’ 🤔 The answer is... well, it depends on the content. There are some people who I would receive content from 10 times a day, but then there’s others, I would unsubscribe if it was more than two times a year! Content frequency depends on the value of the content and in this episode I talk deeper about this, to give you some perspectives for your own business. 🙌 This is Episode 55 of the Billy Rickman Show Podcast! 🎙

One of the major problems I see in business these days...small business anyways, is that they're trying to be everything to everyone!
The problem with trying to be everything to everyone, is that you end up being nothing to no one. 👎🏻
This is an important message that everybody needs to listen to and understand. It could be the reason why you struggle getting long term, loyal clients. 😨

Ok, I have a confession to make. I didn't want to do it, but in order to serve you the best I can, I needed to bring it to an end. 😬
The thing is, I learnt a lot from it, and proved to myself, and hopefully to you too, that you can build an audience, get engagement and grow your business WITHOUT spending a cent. 🙌🏻

Instagram and Facebook are two totally different beasts. What works better? 🤔
Well, I used to think that Instagram wasn't effective for actually getting clients, but lately my mind is changing a bit...
I'm still not sure entirely on the exact strategy to use, but what I do know is that Insta stories are getting me some serious engagement right now! 🙌🏻
My mind has also changed a lot lately, about Influencers on Instagram and Facebook, and how to use them best for your business. It's a bit of a minefield to be honest, but I'm still open to the idea! 😎
Tune in as I discuss my latest opinions on both Instagram and Influencers in this Episode.

Over the past few months of doing this, I’ve learnt a lot about myself, but also about you guys, that tune in...
The most important thing I’ve realised is that the podcasts that have got the best response, have been the messages of hope.
These messages resonate the most with people, because secretly, deep down, you know you’re great and you know you can achieve greatness!

Over the past 9 days, Ive completed 56 Coaching Calls with Clients from a range of businesses, all with unique situations, challenges and goals. 🥅
When you speak with that many people, it gives you an insane perspective of why some businesses are working and others aren't. The answer is kind of obvious, but not many people are actually willing to do it... 😕
Why? Because of fear. 😬

Can skills be trained to a kid by parents, or do some kids just naturally have an entrepreneurial spirit?... 🤔
... Or, do ALL kids have an entrepreneurial spirit, which is simply enhanced by entrepreneurial parents? 💑
The most important question though is, if all kids are entrepreneurial, what happens to us as we get older? What makes us lose that entrepreneurial spark and lead lives where we switch off to opportunity? 💵
Tune into Episode 47, where I tackle this and try to make sense of why this happens! 🙌🏻

My YouTube challenge is proving, well... challenging! Im now up to 71 Subscribers, but still pushing and determined to get this number up! 📈

So that's why I've decided to give up and just try something else! 🙄
Of course Im kidding... but this is what most people do when things dont work out after the first try! 🤨

I go on about list building all the time and how important it is, so I want to do a real life experiment over the next 30 days to see if I can get 5,000 YouTube Subscribers in 30 days...
...without spending a single cent on Marketing! 😬
Tune in and find out how I am planning to do this and how you can learn from this experiment, to build your own audience! 👥🔥
What's better.... achieving a small target or falling slightly short of a big target? 🤔
In my experience, it's better to set your target at $50,000 per month and only achieve $35,000, than it is to set it at $10,000 and achieve it! 🤯
Small thinking like this and small target setting is seriously dangerous for your business and can massively impact the speed & efficiency at which you reach your goals.... and perhaps even the likelihood of achieving them! 😬
Think BIG! Set your goals out of reach and dont settle for ones that are simply 'realistic.' Having massive goals will force you to take massive action to achieve them! 💪
Check out my message on this, in Episode 43! 🎙️
Today I received the best possible news from one of my Clients! She finally understood where she's been going wrong with her business... 🎉
...She's been spending her time in the all the wrong areas! ❌
I go on about this subject all the time, but I do, only because it's so important! 💯
As a business owner, there are only two areas you should be spending your time to start with, and if you're not, then be prepared for an uphill battle. ⛰️
Find out what these two crucial things are, in this Episode of the Podcast! 🎙️
"Facebook Ads don't work."
"Bot's don't work."
"SMS marketing doesn't work."
I hear this all the time, but the truth is, they do work and each of them are incredibly effective at getting customers in the door. The problem isn't with the platform, it's with your offer. 🤨
If people don't want what your'e selling, then it's probably because your offer sucks. Hard to hear, but it's the truth, and you need to understand this. 😬
In this episode of the Podcast, I talk about this and how you can create more enticing offers, that are simply to good to refuse! 🔥🔥🔥
Recruitment... It's the hardest thing to get right in business. If you do get it right, then you win. If you get it wrong, it can turn out very badly! 🤒
In this economic climate, where Clients and Employees are somewhat spoilt for choice, it seems harder and harder to find quality Team Members that will stay with you and continue to support you in building your business. Some business owners actually find it easy to find these people, but unfortunately, most find it hard. 😭
In this Podcast, I interview Sheryl Gardiner from National Salon and Spa Recruitment, where we tackle ways to navigate the recruitment minefield, and discuss how you can become one of those business owners, who not only find great Team Members, but keep them too! 🙌
It's been 6 days since my last podcast, but I'm happy to say, that that's because we had a baby!! 👶 We had a beautiful baby boy named Oscar, so now Im the proud Dad of two handsome boys! 🍻
With the arrival of my new son though, and some extra workload, I've been mindful of managing my energy during this time, and making sure I'm still at peak performance to serve my Coaching Clients, Franchisees and Family! It's important as Entrepreneurs that we're always looking to outperform our competition in every area - including our energy and mindset. 💪
There's a way I've been researching for a while now, that drastically increases energy levels, improves mental clarity and also helps lose weight, so today I begun my 30 day journey into seeing how this works! ⛽
Find out more in Episode 39!
Twelve years ago, I got the bug. The business bug. I had books arriving at the house daily, cd-sets (yes, CD's 👴) on in the car at every moment, booking myself in at frequent seminars... and I just couldn't get enough.
At the time, I thought everyone could be an entrepreneur. In fact, I would preach to all my friends about how awesome it was and how they were wasting their lives being an employee. 👩💼👨💼
Recently though, my thoughts have changed on this, and I actually don't think everybody is cut out for it. 😯
To make it as entrepreneur, you have to have two important qualities, and a lot of the time, people don't have them...
In this episode I talk about this and weigh up how important these two characteristics are for success! 🙌
So many times when Im speaking with Business Owners, they can't tell me what their point of difference is. 🤷♀️
A lot of the time, I get told it's their 'customer service' or their 'products', but customer service is an expectation - not a point of difference; and products are a commodity that can be copied in a second. 😬😬
Genuine points of difference are harder to determine, but if you can find yours, then you will have a massive advantage in the market. 🥇🏆
In business, you can either be one of 3 things: The cheapest, the best, or different. You will ALWAYS lose the price game, being the best is a lot of consistent hard work...but being different, well, it's the easiest way that you can stand out. 👩🎤👨🎤
One of the things Ive noticed lately talking to my Coaching Clients, is the lack of acknowledgement of their own successes to date. 😖
People with smaller wins are always comparing themselves to those who are having huge victories, and those who are seeing massive success, are scared to appreciate it, in case they get judged. 🤦♂️🤦♀️
One thing I know for sure, is that in entrepreneurship, you can only ever win when you focus solely on your own race. 🏁
Stop worrying about what others are doing. As long as you are succeeding in your own right, with your own goals and having your own wins, then that's all that matters.
Im always sharing my own story and my own journey, but in this episode, I wanted to allow one of my Inner Circle Clients, the opportunity to share theirs.
Tara came to me in February this year, and in the past 3 months, she has quadrupled her monthly return, hired 3 more staff and is now just about to launch Cosmetic Injectables and a Membership program in her salon. 🔥🔥🔥
Tara has all the ingredients for success as a business owner, including serious determination, persistence and a never give up attitude. 👊
Tara is crushing her business right now, so I wanted to bring her on the show and talk with her about her business journey! 🙌
If you only had 5 minutes a day to do one thing that would grow your business, what would it be? 🤔
If you come up with an answer, and you're not doing that thing, every single day, then there's no wonder why you're not getting closer to your goals, as quickly as you would like. 👎
In this episode of the Podcast, I talk about the 5 minutes a day thought process...
...and how a shift to this strategy and mindset can serve you greatly in accelerating your success! 🚀
10 years ago, I had a massive threat to my business, and how I reacted, was either going to make or break me.... 😣
Over the course of a few months, I went through every emotion possible! Eventually I ended up realising that, if I was going to keep my dreams alive, I had to become the threat, instead of being threatened! 💪
I kicked into gear and started to take massive action, which eventually saw some incredible results! 🔥
In this episode, I talk about this series of events and ask you to question your own business... Are you the threat or are you the threatened?
Too many people in business are looking for immediate results and immediate successes. Unfortunately, business isn’t like that, and it takes time to build success. It takes time to learn the skills and the develop the tools you need to succeed, but patience seems to allude a lot of business owners. If you understand success, then you understand that you need patience.
I get asked this question a lot, do referral programs work? The answer is yes, but only if you do them right and you take control of the referral process. In this episode, I talk through the correct way to do a referral program, so you can get a steady stream of clients coming in, week after week, from referrals.
In my time training and mentoring, along with owning many businesses, there is one thing that sells more than anything else...confidence. What I’m noticing lately though, is that confidence seems to be in short supply. I see it more and more, that people are so quick to judge themselves and be critical of their actions or appearance, but seldom do they reflect on their awesome talent and qualities. With confidence on the decline, it’s no wonder that people are finding it harder to convert sales and establish meaningful relationships.
One of my Inner Circle clients has had massive success so far this year and it’s from many things, but one in particular. Tara doesn’t dwell on things or question every detail or change the details of the strategy. She takes good advice, she implements it straight away and then she sees success from it. Too many times I see business owners miss opportunities because t lieu delay too long or they change the strategy. If you want to be successful, then find good advice, action it and then succeed.
They say that curiosity killed the cat...but it built the Entrepreneur. Real entrepreneurs get curious about all sorts of things and this is what helps them grow. Instead of waiting around for someone to give you answers, you need to get curious enough to find the answers yourself. Find out how things work and why they work. This curiosity will keep your senses sharp and speed up your growth. It will also increase your advantage over your competition.
There’s 3 types of business owner; the victim, the spectator and the player. It’s been a journey for me to finally become a full time player in the game, but it’s a matter of conditioning that mindset. There are a lot of victims and spectators in business, but if you want to be successful in business, you need to transition to full time player...or as I like to call them, Gladiators!
So many people are scared to produce content in case nobody listens. ‘What if nobody responds or comments or shares? Well, what if they are listening, but you just don’t know it?
