As we've been reporting, a Concord school district is looking for donations as part of their push to help students in foster care and those experiencing homelessness. Officials with Mt. Diablo School District are asking for gift cards or Venmo donations to help over 500 homeless students in the district.

For more on this, KCBS Radio news anchors Eric Thomas and Margie Shafer spoke with Rosie Reid, program specialist for the Homeless Outreach Program for Education in the Mt. Diablo School District.

Donations are being accepted through Dec. 15 and can be made directly via Venmo (@MDUSDHOPE), mailed in or dropped off in person; more details can be found here.
