Before serving in the US Senate.. Dianne Feinstein served as the first woman to be the Mayor of San Francisco from 1978 to 1988.

She led the city through turbulent times over that decade.. with the death of Harvey Milk and former mayor George Moscone kicking off her career in that role.

During her time as Mayor, Feinstein named Frank Jordan Chief of Police, before he went on to become the Mayor from 1992 to 1996.

Frank Jordan spoke with KCBS' Patti Reising and Bret Burkhart about his long relationship with Feinstein.
