What helps us grow and develop as human beings? How much challenge do you need in your life to feel fulfilled? Is adversity the kiss of death or does it help you embrace life? Both Leaha and Howard have had their fair share of adversity and agree that challenge is a key to life mastery. In this episode, Dr Andries Botha, a South African born doctor now living in Canada, explains how the extreme challenges he has set for himself have enhanced his life. Dr. Botha is an extreme athlete having run 40 marathons, cycled major distances including from the tip of Alaska to the end of South America to raise money for children with cancer, and twice finished the toughest 48 hours in sport riding through Death Valley. Age is just a number to Andries. At 54 he was the oldest Canadian to summit Mt Everest and subsequently he climbed the major peaks on every continent. As usual, the hosts and their guest provide insight, inspiration and intelligence so you, too, can find your Everest.
