In 2014, Narendra Modi became the 14th Prime Minister of India. Modi, his political party (the Bharatiya Janata Party, aka BJP), and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) all subscribe to a fascist political ideology called Hindutva. Three Yale students come onto Homecoming and discuss Hindutva, Modi’s regime, and Students Against Hindutva Ideology (SAHI), an inter-university, inter-faith organization they founded that educates people about and challenges fascism and extreme Hindu nationalism.
