World golf legend Tiger Woods has suffered multiple leg injuries and underwent surgery after a car crash.

Woods had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters after his SUV rolled over on a steep Los Angeles road known for accidents.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

*) Gang riots in Ecuador prisons kill at least 62

At least 67 prisoners have died during riots at three facilities in Ecuador.

800 police officers, including tactical units, have been deployed to regain control of the prisons.

Authorities say the riots were a result of fights between rival gangs and an escape attempt.

*) Vaccine makers tell Congress US supply will surge soon

Covid-19 vaccine makers told US Congress that supplies will soon begin to surge due to an expansion in manufacturing.

Executives from Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson said they will be able to supply enough vaccines to fully inoculate 130 million people in the US by the end of March.

The drugmakers also reaffirmed their commitments to supply more than enough doses necessary to vaccinate all Americans by the end of July. *) Cliff-top cemetery collapses in Italy

A cliff-top cemetery in the Italian Riviera has collapsed sending 200 coffins into the sea.

Eleven caskets were pulled out during recovery operations.

Authorities say it may take some time to find all the coffins as parts of the cliff surrounding the landslide are still unstable.

British naturalist Sir David Attenborough has warned that climate change is the biggest security threat ever faced by the human race.

Addressing the UN Security Council, Attenborough said it was time for world leaders to match their words with actions.

The warning comes ahead of November's COP26 climate summit which will serve as a deadline for countries to renew their commitment to deeper emission cuts.
