US President Donald Trump sparked criticism after taking a car ride to greet his supporters outside the hospital while being treated for Covid-19.

Doctors treating Trump said he's recovering well from the virus, and is on a course of medication that includes the anti-inflammatory drug Dexamethasone.

White House doctors said the president could be discharged as early as today.

*) Armenia attacks Ganja city in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's second largest city Ganja, is under heavy attack by Armenian forces as clashes in the occupied Karabakh region continue.

The defence ministry says at least one person was killed and 32 others were injured in Ganja city.

Azerbaijan called the move provocative, and an attempt to escalate the conflict.

*) Turkey’s President Erdogan and Libya’s Sarraj meet in Istanbul

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with Libyan President Fayez al Sarraj in Istanbul where they discussed bilateral and regional developments. Turkey reiterated its priority to ensure stability in Libya. Erdogan also welcomed the UN's certification of the Delimitation of Maritime Jurisdiction agreement signed by the two countries. *) Anti-govt protests in Belarus continue

Police in Belarus used water cannons to disperse crowds during the latest round of demonstrations in the capital, Minsk.

Thousands turned up to protest against the disputed re-election of President Alexander Lukashenko.

Demonstrators are also calling on authorities to free political prisoners, and stop arbitrary detentions.

Coronavirus-wary animal owners in the Philippines had their pets blessed in a drive-through ceremony in celebration of the feast of Saint Francis. The animals were sprinkled with holy water by a Catholic priest in Manila. Organisers and participants said this year's unusual blessing was held in honour of animal rights and welfare.
