In this episode, I continue my in-the-moment, open journal.

Dear Sisters,

In haste, I made a brief comment associating poverty with "the rest of the world," and humbly ask for your forgiveness.

I acknowledge that this statement sounded ignorant; however, I assert that I am under no delusion that there are severely disenfranchised, disparaged, and poverty-stricken communities, people groups, and individuals in the States. I believe that our cultural inequalities are entirely due to greed, pride, and godless systems. Further, all interpersonal conflicts and societal struggles are true of humankind as a whole.

Though these episodes are recorded in the moment and uploaded without review, I will attempt to slow down and fully clarify my points. My desire is to shed light on these uncomfortable truths without perpetuating insensitive assumptions.

To my sisters beyond the U.S., please know that I honor, respect, and love you. May the Lord will cover my words with grace and comfort your hearts with perfect peace.

Sincerely,

N
