I. What does Biblical repentance look like? (5-9)

1. Conviction of sin

2. Humility

3. Sorrow for sin

4. Turning away from sin

5. Turning back to the Lord

II. Does our repentance change God’s plans? (10; Jer 18:7-10; Mal 3:6)

1. No – and we should be glad it doesn’t

2. Yes – and we should be thankful it does

III. Why is repentance gracious? (1)

1. Opportunity to turn away from what is not good for us

2. Threats & discipline are in context of our relationship with the Lord

3. Repentance shows our faith is real
