All throughout the Bible, powerful (breakthrough) encounters with God have come when people were in helpless situations. They were often out of options, and they had to depend on God with everything. In those moments, they experience and come to know Him in ways that they would have never if not for the incredible need of Him. Unfortunately, many Christians have become so dependent and self-sufficient over time that God is no longer a necessity in our lives. Today, we talk about how we can combat the spirit of independence and learn to experience Him in a deeper, more intimate way.
