As a teacher at the Nittur High School in Udupi, his concern for his students wasn't limited to academic excellence alone. He has been a mentor and a beneficiary for thousands of children, the impact of which has been long-lasting.

As a Yakshagana artist, he works tirelessly to support both the art, as well as the artists.
