John 20:1-18 

• God had said "Yes" to Jesus
• The resurrection verifies or validates that Jesus is Israel's true Messiah
• The resurrection verifies that what Jesus did on the cross for our sin was sufficient
• Jesus defeated the last and ultimate foe - death
• Our future hope is centered firmly on the bodily resurrection of Jesus
