In the middle of the performance cycle, managers and employees should hold a checkpoint meeting. This is the time for you to make sure managers and employees are on track to meet goals and receive feedback. Feedback can happen formally or informally, but it’s recommended that you and your supervisor meet, at least once, about half way through the year to formally review your goals and to check on your progress towards meeting them. It’s also a good to time to discuss any changes in priorities or initiatives that might have an impact on the relevance of your or your team’s goals or priorities.
