Robert Boyle (1627–1691) is remembered as the Father of Modern Chemistry.

Boyle’s scientific legacy was matched by his deep Christian faith. He saw no conflict between faith and reason; in fact, he believed science was a way of glorifying God. He once wrote:

“God would not have made the universe as it is unless He intended us to understand it.”A Free Enquiry into the Vulgarly Received Notion of Nature (1686)

Boyle believed that the order in creation was an invitation for humanity to explore, discover, and worship the Creator.
