There are a lot of people who look at God as a sort of cosmic killjoy, and they point to the Fall as their prime example. “All they did is eat a piece of fruit!”, they say. But as Pastor Mark tells us, they miss the other side of the argument. Adam and Eve had every other fruit to eat; why wouldn’t they just leave this one fruit alone? The fact is that God had given them all of creation to enjoy – He only warned them about one tree out of everything else on earth! This illustrates the problem with sin – it focuses on what we can’t have rather than all of the blessings God has made available to us.
